This article mainly takes Yuelu edition senior high school history textbook as an example,combs the historical geography knowledge in the textbook,analyzes its distribution characteristic.Through the investigation of the present situation of history teaching in middle school,this paper finds out the problems,finds out the shortcomings,and finally puts forward the strategy of applying the knowledge of history and geography in the history teaching.Firstly,the historical geography knowledge in Yuelu edition senior high school history textbook mainly includes the natural geography knowledge,the humanities geography knowledge and so on,its distribution characteristic is: first,the scope is wide,involves the territory,the population migration,the region economy,the military war and so on;The second is the combination of political history and economic history,the third is the combination of words and map,and the fourth is supplementary explanation supplemented by knowledge link.Secondly,through questionnaire investigation and textbook reading,this paper analyzes the present situation of the application of historical geography knowledge in history teaching from the perspectives of student subject and teacher subject,and explains the necessity of cultivating historical geography knowledge.The questionnaire was mainly collected from middle schools in A City of Jiangsu and B City of Henan Province.From the cognition and attitude of the students "historical geography knowledge",the present situation of the application of the historical geography knowledge of the middle school students is understood,and the common problems of the middle school students at present are: although they have some understanding of the historical geography knowledge,However,the foundation is not solid,and there are problems in the application of historical and geographical knowledge.From the teaching experience,knowledge reserve and application of history geography knowledge of history teachers,this paper finds out the problems existing in the application of history geography knowledge: the shortage of history geography specialty knowledge,the improper teaching methods,and so on.The teaching concept is single.Third,aiming at the current situation that the students' foundation is not solid and the teachers' professional knowledge is insufficient,this paper puts forward the corresponding teaching requirements and training strategies.The main contents are as follows: first,teachers should enhance their professional knowledge,learn historical geography knowledge,and sort out the historical geography knowledge in classified textbooks.Second,teachers should improve the teaching method of historical geography knowledge,that is,using multimedia means,historical map,field investigation and strengthening the training of historical geography knowledge exercises.Finally,taking the opening up of New Route as an example,the importance of the application of historical geography knowledge in history teaching is illustrated.
