STEAM education is an influx of new blood in basic education,which provides space for students to create.It aims to cultivate students' ability to solve problems through comprehensive application of knowledge,and improve students' ability to innovate and practice.Currently,STEAM education in China is still in the exploratory stage,and there are still some problems in the process of promoting STEAM education.The author found that in STEAM learning activities,most of them still adopt the cooperative learning form of "heterogeneous within groups,homogeneous among groups",so that the groups can have a relatively high level to complete the tasks assigned by teachers.This implementation situation seems to deviate from STEAM education's educational philosophy of "focusing on stimulating learning interest and enhancing students' creativity".From our own learning and growth experience,students' learning interest has been clearly differentiated in the middle school stage,so the same learning task can stimulate all students' learning interest?Without considering the students' interest in learning,does the grouping meet the students' expectation?Based on the above considerations,this study attempts to explore a STEAM teaching model based on interest characteristics,hoping to contribute to the effective implementation of STEAM education in middle schools.Firstly,this study summarizes and elaborates the research status of learning interest and STEAM education at home and abroad,and analyzes the core issues and research objectives of this study.Secondly,the STEAM learning interest scale of middle school students is developed to measure their interest in STEAM learning.At this stage,the formal scale is developed step by step by using the theoretical basis and reference basis of literature research.Thirdly,the questionnaire was designed based on the scale and tested in a certain class,and the collected data were used to explore the method of aggregating students with the same type of learning interest and representing the characteristics of interest.Finally,the STEAM teaching model of middle school based on interest characteristics in the information environment is constructed,and the teaching design is carried out based on the model and specific cases.After the implementation of the teaching,the implementation effect is tested by classroom observation,interview,questionnaire and other methods.Through the analysis of the implementation effect,it is verified that the STEAM teaching model of middle school based on interest characteristics constructed in this study is feasible in the information environment,and can improve students' learning interest and innovation ability to a certain extent.
