With the continuous development of science and technology,the cultivation of innovative and practical talents has become the top priority to enhance the overall national strength.At the beginning of the 21 st century,STEAM education concept,with six core characteristics of interdisciplinary,experiential,situational,collaborative,design and artistry,has gained favor in the world and became the focus of education research.The idea of STEAM education has been promoted and implemented in South Korea,China and other countries for a period of time.During this period,the research of the United States and South Korea has formed a relatively perfect system from national policy to curriculum to practice.In China,scholars also use quantitative,qualitative and hybrid methods to study STEAM education,and constantly expand its research field.By searching the literature on the application of STEAM education concept in subject teaching,it is found that although steam education concept is widely used in various disciplines,there is a limited application range in a certain discipline.To solve this problem,this study divides the teaching content of the eighth grade physics Volume I of the PEP Edition,and designs and implements teaching cases.It is hoped that this study will expand the application of STEAM education concept in physics teaching,improve students' interest in physics learning,and provide new teaching ideas for front-line physics teachers.How is the STEAM educational concept being used in all disciplines? How to expand the application of STEAM education concept in physics teaching? How to carry out the teaching design integrated with steam education concept? What is the effect of teaching design after implementation? Can we improve students' interest in physics learning? This study explores these five issues in the following parts:The first part is to sort out the relevant literature.through the literature research method,the research on STEAM education at home and abroad is combed,the existing research results and shortcomings are understood,and the domestic and foreign research review and the definition of core concepts are completed.The theoretical basis of instructional design in this study is summarized.The second part is to prepare for teaching design,through the method of case study,divides and integrates the teaching content of the first volume of the eighth grade according to two different orientations of the STEAM education concept;based on the interdisciplinary teaching activity mode,designs the teaching mode and process integrating the STEAM education concept with the help of the inquiry teaching method,and designs two teaching cases integrating the STEAM education concept according to the mode and process.The third part is the implementation of teaching.through the experimental method,choose the experimental class and the control class,using the method of control variables,in the control class using the traditional teaching,in the experimental class using the teaching design integrated with the STEAM education concept.Combined with teachers and tutors to design specific test papers and interest questionnaires,using measurement tools to measure the teaching effect and learning interest of experimental subjects,and collect measurement data.The fourth part is data processing and analysis.SPSS software is used to analyze and compare the collected data.Through the analysis and practice of middle school students' performance,it can be concluded that the physical teaching integrated with the STEAM education concept is higher than the traditional teaching in the explicit learning achievement and implicit learning interest,and to a certain extent,it can improve the students' physical learning interest.The fifth part is based on the research results to put forward the implementation of the physical teaching strategy integrated into the steam education concept.Reviewed the research process,according to the problems in the research process,reflect on the deficiencies in the research process,and according to the deficiencies put forward in the future research prospects.
