The New College Entrance Examination mode of Chongqing,which is "3 + 1 + 2 mode" and it is implemented from ordinary high school students at the level of 2021."3" represents the national unified examination subjects;"1" represents physics or history.Candidates must choose one of them."2" represents a re-selected subject for the selection test,and the other two must be chosen from among politics,geography,chemistry,and biology.The purpose of this study is to explore the influence of new college entrance examination mode on biology education in senior high schools of Chongqing and propose corresponding improvement measures.This research was based on the theory of human's comprehensive development,multiple intelligence theory,quality education concept and non-instructional teaching theory.Some high school students in Chongqing area have been surveyed,meanwhile,some frontline biology teachers in Chongqing area have been interviewed.Those methods such as literature research method,questionnaire survey method,interview method and statistical analysis method were used for analysis.The research results indicated that: 1)In terms of the status of biology: after the implementation of the Chongqing New College Entrance Examination model,the number of elective subjects related to biology has increased.As a result,the chances of being selected will increase,which,to some extent,promotes the status of the biology department.2)In terms of teachers: the formal implementation of the Chongqing New College Entrance Examination policy will set higher demands upon the professional development of frontline biology teachers.As for frontline biology teachers,it is both challenge and opportunity of self-improvement.3)In terms of students: the Chongqing New College Entrance Examination model brings many combinations of elective subjects,which leads to a certain degree of autonomy,blindness and utilitarianism in the subjects selected.Finally,based on the above survey results,The purpose of make schools better cope with the new college entrance examination,teachers better guide the new college entrance examination,and students better adapt to the new college entrance examination,the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions were proposed in this study: 1)In terms of schools: increasing the construction of teaching venues and faculty,controlling the combinations of subject on the macro level,setting up optimized test selection combinations,improving the teacher-student evaluation system and strengthening evaluation supervision.2)In terms of teachers: updating educational concepts,improving professional quality,paying attention to personality differences and carrying out Stratified teaching,making full use of resources and forming management synergy.3)In terms of students: participating in subject selection guidance and career planning guidance actively,enhancing comprehension of biology courses,changing the way of mechanical learning and stimulating interest in biological learning.
