Calligraphy is one of China’s outstanding traditional cultures and an indispensable element of basic education.With the advent of the information age,the practical functions of calligraphy are gradually being weakened,and most students lack solid basic writing skills.In response to this phenomenon,the Ministry of Education launched a primary school calligraphy guidance document,pointing out that calligraphy teaching is an important measure to improve students’ writing ability,improve cultural cultivation,and promote overall development;It is an important way to inherit the excellent culture of the Chinese nation and cultivate patriotism.In 2013,the Ministry of Education issued a document requesting that the teaching of calligraphy be included in the primary school teaching system.However,the calligraphy teaching in primary schools is still in the development stage,and the implementation effect is not ideal.Therefore,it is imperative to speed up the promotion of primary school calligraphy teaching and regain traditional culture.Based on the survey of Wuhan S Primary School,this article investigates the current situation of the school’s calligraphy teaching through literature,questionnaires,interviews,etc.through field visits to the school,combined with the psychological characteristics of primary school students,and analyzes its existing problems.The four levels of teachers,schools and parents put forward corresponding countermeasures.At the student level,we must establish a correct perception of calligraphy and cultivate good writing habits.The school should actively guide students to realize the importance of calligraphy,follow the characteristics that students are the mainstay of learning and their physical and mental development,and arouse students’ interest in learning calligraphy.While teaching students the skills of calligraphy,integrate the comprehensive knowledge of calligraphy to form a correct cognitive view of calligraphy.Teachers should strengthen the construction of calligraphy teachers.Actively respond to the request of the Ministry of Education,hire professional calligraphy teachers and improve the establishment system,increase the proportion of professional calligraphy teachers,and ensure that the school has sufficient professional calligraphy teachers.Secondly,strengthen the professional awareness of teachers,and encourage teachers to participate in trainingactivities in order to communicate and promote steps.Finally,activities such as demonstration classes,observation classes,and collective lesson preparation are carried out to improve teaching abilities.The school level should broaden the ways of calligraphy teaching.Strengthen the construction of campus calligraphy culture,implement the calligraphy characteristics to every corner of the campus,and implement the promotion of calligraphy teaching.Schools can also make full use of information technology to carry out calligraphy activities that students like to hear.At the same time,combining with the school’s teaching philosophy and following the characteristics of students’ age,the school-based textbooks for calligraphy should be prepared according to local conditions.Parents should vigorously support the school ’s calligraphy work,give full play to the synergy,and help teachers jointly develop students ’good writing habits,cultivate noble character,and inherit the Chinese calligraphy culture.This article investigates and studies the current situation of calligraphy teaching in schools,analyzes the problems in the implementation process,and contributes to the development of calligraphy teaching in primary schools. |
