Calligraphy has been the union of the Chinese character and the distinctive Chinese appreciation of the beauty, it has molded the unique Chinese appreciation of the beauty realm. Recently, with the changing of the language and the implement of writing, calligraphy has disappeared from the people's daily uses gradually, traditional cultural information contained by calligraphy also is far away from us gradually. The culture delivery mainly depends on education, as unique cultural heritage how to inherit calligraphy, is the problem that the education ought to pay attention.This paper designed a questionnaire, it contained the teacher's cognition and attitude to the calligraphy , the implementation of school calligraphy educates and the current environment of pupils and ect. Then gave an investigation about calligraphy education on 160 teachers of six elementary school in Kai Feng City, and have a interview on some teachers , students and their parents . Through the investigation that I discovered several problems such as the school lacked of emphasis on education , the shortage of teachers in special field seriously ,lack the all-round cognition , strictly estimating and examining on calligraphy curriculum .Therefore, the paper have submitted suggestion and countermeasure on the basis of inspecting and the predecessor studies.According to the investigation and studying have a further scanning on the present education, we can reach a conclusion: despite the elementary school calligraphy education has important cultural significance, we have ignored this point exactly in real education. From the function of education problems have come up as follows: Ignoring traditional culture education, treating with indifference to humanity quality education, mixing up the location of the art education.There are four parts of this paper:Part I, the cause of the study, including the conception of calligraphy education and the relevance conception, the literature summary of studying current situation of calligraphy education to elementary school.Part II, the cognition of the content and the significance of calligraphy education. Calligraphy is the essence of traditional culture, containing rich cultural information. Firstly, calligraphy education is a primo of Chinese character education, the Chinese character is containing the distinctive Chinese scope of operation humanity world, molding the Chinese nation. Calligraphy education has embodied this culture identification. Secondly, it has represented the most original Chinese aesthetic model and traditional appreciation of the beauty wellhead.Part III: through the investigation of calligraphy education of the current situation on six elementary schools in Kai Feng City, the main body of the paper discovers that the calligraphy education in elementary school is on the edge of the school education. And on the basis of the investigation this paper analyzed the various problems and proposed some suggestions.On Part IV , on the basis of current on the view of the function of education, the paper reconsidered the problems in present education and came to a conclusion.
