The history textbook in the modern sense comes with the continuous development and change of modern education.As a teaching tool on the dependence of historical learning,it has played an important role in the process of national education and value transmission since its birth.In different historical periods,with the change of social environment and political trend,the ideas and content presented in history textbooks are changing from time to time.As the republic's first middle school history textbook,"Chinese Middle School History Textbooks-Ministry of The Country",is an important way for us to understand the political,ideological and educational development process of the late Qing Dynasty,and its research significance is self-evident.After the establishment of the Republic of China,the reform of education is urgent in the face of the social situation of internal and external problems.In this process,the Chinese Book Bureau established in the New Year of the Republic of China(1912)was at the forefront of the times,drawing on the experience and shortcomings of textbook writing in the late Qing Dynasty,following the interim measures of general education and the provisions of curriculum standards,and took the lead in the compilation of new teaching materials,"Chinese Middle School History Textbooks and The Ministry of the Country" It was born against this back ground.From the point of view of the compilation content and concept,it adopts the perspective of comprehensive research,highlights the social shock and integration,attacks the feudal autocracy system,promotes the concept of "democratic republic",reconstructs the national image and consciousness from the aspect of national origin and national assimilation,and moves down the perspective of codification,and actively reflects the economic,cultural and social changes of different periods.It reveals the objective basis and development course of human history in detail.As far as the codification structure is concerned,on the one hand,it inherits the chapter body writing examples of the late Qing Dynasty and develops them,and on the basis of macro-grasp of the historical development period,the historical staging is defined.On the other hand,the use of outline collar foreword settings,visual image of the historical chart,complementary size and dot lay out,and constantly enrich the content of history textbooks.There is no doubt that in the compilation of structure and thinking are considered to be "a momentary atmosphere".Although the compilation of the textbook is somewhat hasty,to some extent there are certain defects,but it carries the course of the times and educational development,can provide reference for the compilation of history textbooks after the Republic of China,especially valuable,it can provide good reference for the history of today's history textbooks and value series.
