Thematic Based Approach,(abbreviated as TBA)is a new teaching mode that appears in view of language teaching.As a language teaching activity,its carrier is content and the main body is text connotation.The original intention of thematic teaching is to create a good and dynamic environment for students to carry out language learning.This model focuses on the application of language,advocates the rejection of life-free,scene-free language learning,and believes that language learning should be carried out under meaningful themes,combining language and content two forms of teaching.The model already exists in the field of English teaching sufficient research,but in the field of teaching Chinese as a foreign language with a late start,this model is still in the early stage of development,the relevant research is still immature,and the research space is still very large.This article mainly studies the application of Thematic Based Approach in Chinese teaching in Thailand middle schools.On the basis of expanding and deepening Thematic Based Approach theories,this research aims at studying the learning characteristics of Thai middle school students,it combines TBA with Chinese teaching in middle school in Thailand,the author combined with the teaching experience of volunteers in Thailand,and took Phetchabun Petpittayakom School as an example.An analysis of the feasibility of Thematic Based Approachin middle schools,and then teaching experiments were conducted at this stage.In this thesis,the author used two questionnaire surveys and tests to compare the learning initiative,enthusiasm,learning interest,cognitive ability and Chinese level of the two groups ofexperimental subjects.Based on the research of existing scholars and related literature,combined with the author's own practice,in this paper,the author selected 15 Chinese teaching content,surveyed the topics that the students were interested in,and came to conclusions,and then explored Thematic Based Approach of Chinese in Thai middle schools.Based on the statistical analysis of objective data,this paper concludes thatThematic Based Approach is more effective than traditional teaching in improving the non-intelligencefactors of Chinese learners of other language in Thai middle schools,and it can effectively improve the cognitive ability of Chinese learners of other language in Thai middle schools.Thematic Based Approach has positive significance for the improvement of Chinese teaching effect,classroom atmosphere,and communicative competence.The experimental conclusions are expected to provide positive reference for Chinese education in overseas middle schools.
