In recent years,thematic teaching has been widely used in second language teaching.Theme-based teaching is not limited by the content of the teaching.It pays attention to the context and relevance of the learning content.By learning around the theme,it can effectively stimulate students' interest in learning and improve the teaching effect.Guided by the thematic teaching concept,the thesis combines the experience of being a Chinese teacher in Parachmongkol Middle School in Thailand,and combines the Chinese vocabulary teaching in Thai schools with the thematic teaching concept from the actual situation,to carry out the theme-based Chinese vocabulary teaching design.On the basis of constructivism and meaningful learning theory,the thesis takes non-Chinese class students in Grades1,5 and 6 of Parachmongkol Middle School as the teaching experiment objects,and analyzes the students' academic condition,thus determined the overall teaching goals for each grade.The overall instructional design of thematic Chinese vocabulary is carried out at a macro level on the premise that the principles of thematic vocabulary selection,teaching content arrangement,teaching method application and evaluation and implementation methods are clarified.The thesis designs six major themes and sub-themes based on the learning duration of each grade and the learning characteristics of the learners.From a micro level,the thesis has designed thematic teaching of vocabulary teaching in three grades,and used three sub-thematic Chinese vocabulary teaching designs of "fruit","school life" and "vocation" as practical analysis cases.Through the evaluation and reflection of the teaching practice of the three sub-theme vocabulary teaching design,the paper summarizes the advantages and disadvantages of the subject Chinese vocabulary teaching,and puts forward some suggestions for improvement from three aspects: Chinese teachers should improve their teaching level from their own literacy,teaching ability and classroom management ability,arrange the subject teaching design reasonably from three aspects of teaching time,teaching content and teaching activities,and promote the use of teaching materials scientifically.It is hoped that this study will provide some help to novice Chinese teachers and the teaching of Chinese as a second language.
