The Internet Plus initiatives has brought about profound changes in education,and promoted education from closed to open sharing,from general to individualized,from single evaluation to comprehensive evaluation.In recent years,driven by the demand of the Internet Plus Education model,domestic MOOCs have emerged,developed and expanded,and their development has distinct characteristics.Although providing various conveniences to the learners,MOOC has some problems that need to be solved at the same time.Therefore,it is necessary to make an objective analysis of the course characteristics and course learner characteristics of the MOOC platform,not only for helping the platform and learners improve,but also for making MOOC more influential in the Internet Plus initiatives era.This thesis first reviews the research literature related to MOOC at home and abroad,and then the advantages and disadvantages of the research methods are discussed,and the empirical research is carried out by using vector space model,association rule model,latent Dirichlet allocation model(LDA model),hierarchical clustering method and random forest model.The empirical research in the thesis takes the courses of the MOOC platform of Chinese university as the research object that is one of the mainstream domestic MOOC platforms,uses web crawler technology to collect the course-related information and learner comments,and adopts a variety of text mining methods to study the characteristics of the courses and the learner characteristics of the typical courses.The empirical research included are as follow.First,through the course classification research,the course characteristics under different classification ways are analyzed.Secondly,through word frequency analysis and the characteristic selection method of the vector space model based on course overview text feature words,the course characteristics of each subject and the overall course characteristics are extracted.Third,through the association rules,the course characteristics between the course and the feature words and between the feature words which are covered by the relevance of the feature words are found.Fourth,using LDA model and hierarchical clustering method to study the semantic relationships between feature words from qualitative and quantitative perspectives respectively,the topic aggregation characteristics,clustering characteristics and specific gravity distribution are extracted,and the relevance of the different clustering hierarchies and between the hierarchies and the courses of theme are mined.Fifth,a weighted grammar rule is constructed based on the dictionary,and the rule and random forest model are used to analyze the learner's comments of the typical course,while determining the emotional tendency and emotional characteristics of the learner's typical course.On the basis of theoretical research and empirical research,the thesis found the main characteristics of MOOC,including course characteristics and learner characteristics,and proposed the main research conclusions and countermeasures.The main research conclusions of this thesis are as follows.Firstly,the courses coverage is full,paying more attention to science and engineering,and the results of highquality curriculum construction are remarkable.Secondly,the courses meet basic and professional,theory and method,competence and technical needs.Thirdly,courses are set up for students,focusing on students' ability training.Fourthly,team teaching and the foundation of content are the two characteristics of the courses.Fifthly,the themes of the courses are policy-oriented and actively respond to national initiatives.Sixthly,the courses lacks a systematic classification,and the problems of learner level,teacher quality,and advocacy production are outstanding.According to the research results,the following countermeasures and suggestions are proposed.First,diversify the disciplines,optimize the supply and demand structure of the disciplines,and accelerate the construction of national quality courses.Second,develop and design course that meets the characteristics of the times for learners of different levels.Third,aim at the higher requirements of teachers in the MOOC,and improve the ability of the instructors to guide students.Fourth,relevant departments should strengthen the supervision of MOOC and not reduce the quality due to free sharing.
