Orphans have always been focus of the all sectors of society and the social welfare policy.Orphans in the diaspora are distinct from institutionalized orphans.They are scattered in society and face more uncontrollable difficulties in the survival and development of orphans in the diaspora than orphans in institutions.With the continuous development of China's social economy,the improvement of the social security system,the continuous progress of the social welfare system for children,and the development of the social welfare system for children,the problem of survival is no longer the main reason for the growth of orphans in the diaspora.Developmental problems face more problems in the growth and development of orphans in the diaspora.Academic research has focused on orphans in welfare institutions and orphans 'schools,and little research has been done on scattered orphans,the research only focuses on the policy aspects of the rescue of orphans in the diaspora.The research on the problems that arise in the growth and development is only the study of social integration intervention services,and the lack of in-depth research on other issues in the growth and development of orphans in the diaspora.This article deals with a scattered orphan who dropped out of school in the third year of junior high school(compulsory education),the author of the task of social work using the central model to serve the target intervention.After establishing a professional relationship with the client,we help the client analyze the problems he or she faces,deeply explore the causes of the dropout behavior,Taking the drop out incident as the entry point of the intervention service and taking the advantage of the perspective as the theoretical basis,we assisted the service clients to jointly formulate the service tasks and carried out the intervention service for more than three months.By guiding the client to explore their own real needs,clarify the relationship between the problem itself and themselves,and increase self-rational cognition;Guide the case owner to discover its own resource advantages,exploit its own potential,and establish self-confidence;at the same time,social workers have established positive and positive communication methods for clients and guardians in response to the family problems of the clients.supplemented the client's family function with social volunteer resources,established support networks,and mobilized social resources to jointly promote the change of the client's family.Finally,the service objects dare to face the difficulties of growth and adapt to the goals of social life.This study provides a practical and theoretical supplement for volunteer and social work case service intervention in the field of school dropout and prevention of school dropout,and provides a case reference for the practice of the mission center model intervention in the problem of orphans in the diaspora.
