The development of STSE education in China is relatively late,but its development speed is fast,which has attracted the attention of experts and scholars.STSE(Science,technology,society,environment)is the abbreviation of science,technology,society and environment.STSE education is a new concept to guide and implement science education.It pays attention to the application of science and technology in social production,living environment and social development,and the relationship among science,technology,society and environment.STSE situation is the objective existence of science and technology,social production,living environment and so on.In order to better implement the goal of geographical core literacy,the teaching proposal of senior high school geography curriculum standard(2017 Edition)proposes to attach importance to "Problem-based Teaching",that is,by creating problem situations for students,students can find and solve problems.The new education concept also emphasizes the cultivation of students' awareness of scientific inquiry and the improvement of students' practical ability.Therefore,the combination of situational teaching method and geographical inquiry teaching method is in line with the requirements of China's educational philosophy and practice.STSE education is conducive to the cultivation of talents with good scientific literacy.At present,STSE education is mostly found in physics,chemistry,biology and other courses.This paper mainly analyzes the students' attitude towards STSE situation and inquiry learning by setting up a questionnaire with three dimensions.This paper analyzes the STSE education of students of different learning levels in the same grade and the cognitive level,source of knowledge and practical ability of inquiry education,so as to promote teachers to understand students' learning habits,so as to help front-line teachers to build a more suitable inquiry geography teaching design for students' knowledge.In this paper,Huaihua Mayang No.1 middle school as the survey object,mainly using questionnaire survey,interview,case analysis,control experiment method for research.This paper investigates the current situation of Geography Inquiry Teaching in senior high school based on STSE,and finds that there are six problems in the inquiry teaching of Geography in Mayang No.1 Middle School: first,teachers' awareness and attention to STSE education are not high;second,geography teachers in senior high school do not pay enough attention to STSE test questions;third,ignore the importance of situational teaching and STSE education;fourth,geography teachers do not pay enough attention to STSE Five,the content of STSE in the textbook has not been fully utilized;sixth,students have not been fully engaged in the classroom inquiry process.This paper analyzes and studies the STSE knowledge points in senior high school geography compulsory textbook of Hunan Education Press and the STSE materials involved in reading,as well as the test background and test points related to STSE in the college entrance examination,and tries to classify the STSE situations as STSE situational materials.Secondly,combined with the analysis of high school geography inquiry teaching should pay attention to the elements,design the basic framework of High School Geography Inquiry Teaching Method Based on STSE.Using different types of STSE situations,the experimental teaching design is carried out,and the teaching design is carried out in high school.After practice,the results show that the teaching mode has a certain help to students' achievement,learning attitude,learning interest,self-learning ability and inquiry ability.Finally,through the theoretical and practical research on the implementation of Geography Inquiry Teaching Based on STSE situation in senior high school,the following conclusions are drawn: first,it is of great significance to integrate the STSE education concept into the practice of geography teaching;second,STSE situation can effectively alleviate the phenomenon of derailment between Inquiry Teaching and real life;third,the design of High School Geography Inquiry Teaching Based on STSE situation,Fourth,the Geography Inquiry Teaching Design Based on STSE situation is more open;fifth,the Geography Inquiry Teaching Mode Based on STSE situation is more suitable for students with uneven levels.
