Most ethnic minorities in China are located in border areas, and local education levels are relatively backward. For the sake of education equity, the state has issued a series of policies for minority students.Among them, the relaxation of college entrance requirements for minority students is one of them. However, minority students who have entered the undergraduate level of inland universities after relaxing their admission conditions face higher academic pressures and their academic performance is therefore not satisfactory. The author found that while helping students of minority ethnic groups to make up lessons for a long time, the study habits, lifestyles, and ideological concepts of minority students with relatively small gaps with mainstream groups in mainland colleges and universities have relatively good academic performance.Minority classmates with large gaps in mainstream groups in colleges and universities have relatively poor academic performance. Therefore,I want to study the integration of minority undergraduates in colleges and universities and the impact of integration on their academic performance. In this article,we take the second year and above minority undergraduates of the third school(Fudan University,Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, and Shanghai University of Science and Technology)in Yangpu District of Shanghai as the research object, and connect the learning achievements of minority students according to the four dimensions under the framework of social integration, put forward four hypotheses: Hypothesis 1.in terms of fair identification, the more equitable the learning opportunities faced by ethnic undergraduates, the better their performance;Hypothesis 2.in terms of social networks, ethnic undergraduates 'social networks are(Not in the same province/autonomous region),the more friends, the better the performance;Hypothesis 3.in terms of cultural acceptance, the higher the cultural acceptance of the minority's undergraduates, the better the performance;Hypothesis 4.in terms of identity Undergraduate students of ethnic minorities believe that the closer they are to the school and the mainstream group in which the school is located, the better their results are. This research uses the Ordered-Logit regression model as the main statistical analysis model to analyze the impact of fair identification, social networking, cultural acceptance, and identity on academic performance under the framework of social integration of minority undergraduates, and finds the level of fair identification and cultural acceptance. The degree does not significantly affect the academic performance of minority students. However, the richness of social networks of ethnic minority students can have a significant positive impact on their academic performance by imitating the dominant groups and obtaining more learning materials. When ethnic minority students have a higher recognition of the identity of “residents of the school”,They also study hard in practice and have a significant positive impact on their academic performance. This article gives suggestions on how to expand the social network of ethnic minority students, enhance the recognition of the identity of "Shanghainese" among ethnic minority students, and promote the academic achievements of ethnic minority students from three aspects: government, school and students. At the government level,(1)The local government of colleges and universities must recognize the importance of national unity,as well as the importance of common progress of all ethnic groups, and effectively improve the knowledge level of minority students.(2)The local government of colleges and universities should fully understand the basic situation of minority students, and formulate and implement policies on this basis to strengthen exchanges and interactions between students of various regions and ethnic groups.(3)Grassroots organizations such as townships and streets can give full play to their role, allowing minority students to quickly integrate into the local area.At the school level,(1)Mainland universities should face the differences between students of various ethnic groups and regions on the basis of equal treatment, and strengthen the management of minority students.(2)Mainland universities should consciously strengthen the interaction between teachers and students and students from different student sources.(3)Mainland colleges and universities should strengthen exchanges and cooperation with other colleges, government departments, and all sectors of society on the basis of persistently implementing the original policies for minority students. At the student level,(1)Minority students should be more active in communicating with other groups in daily social interaction.(2)Minority students should master some formal and informal social support networks.(3)Minority students who wish to stay in local cities in colleges and universities should complete their identity integration as soon as possible, recognize the challenges ahead, and study hard.
