Although quality education is strongly advocated at the present stage in China,the high school entrance examination and college entrance examination are still the top priorities,and utilitarian education tendencies make extra-curricular tutoring education gradually become an indispensable part of students' learning career.However,the reasons behind the choice of extra-curricular tutoring are mostly due to students' anxiety about performance and family's blindness and conformity to education.rather than basing on the effectiveness of tutoring education.At present,the research on the effectiveness of education in China is mostly based on school education.There are few researches on the effectiveness of tutoring education.As a supplementary extension of school education,whether extra-curricular tutoring is really as expected by parents,and can play its due role in improving students' academic performance or ability.As a subsystem of the whole education system,extra-curricular tutoring education has not clearly described the service effectiveness of external stakeholders.As a special force to promote the development of education,extra-curricular tutoring education also deserves more attention and research from educational experts and scholars.This research uses a combination of questionnaire surveys,interviews,literature research,and statistical research to investigate the current situation of extra-curricular tutoring for junior middle school students in A school in Nanchang from the level of students,parents,and teachers.Through data analysis and in-depth interviews,this study found: First,in terms of the internal obvious effectiveness of extra-curricular tutoring education,the performance of students participating in tutoring has significantly improved than that of students who have not.among those,the students who are in grade 1 and grade2,whose Achievement levels are in the middle and upper reaches,whose weekly guidance time is 4-11 hours are significantly improved;Second,in terms of internal hidden effectiveness of extra-curricular tutoring education,extra-curricular tutoring education significantly improves students 'sense of self-efficacy,but does not significantly improve students' learning autonomy;Third,in terms of the external effectiveness of extra-curricular tutoring education,the effectiveness of extra-curricular tutoring education is not optimistic,and there is still much room for improvement.In view of the above problems,based on a systematic analysis,this research has tentatively put forward suggestions for improving the effectiveness of extra-curricular tutoring education for junior middle school students from the family level,the tutoring industry level,and the national social level.
