Study On The Influence Factors Of Social Intergenerational Mobility In China

In this thesis,using cgss 2010,2012,2013 and 2015 four-phase data to form a mixed cross-section data,combined with existing research,on the basis of considering individual endowment effects,the use of multi-layer linear model to integrate regional factors into China's intergenerational flow factors.The results of the multi-layer model show that 14.6%of the overall differences in China's intergenerational flow come from regional differences.The return of regional level variables shows that the regional education level has obvious effect on intergenerational mobility,which partly explains the reasons for good intergenerational mobility in areas with high levels of education,the negative return result of corruption and the proportion of state-owned enterprise personnel,the negative result of corruption and rent-seeking is not conducive to social intergenerational mobility,and it is worth noting that the return result of variables representing the level of urban development and public service level is negative,indicating that there is a phenomenon of "more developed regions and more stable class‘.The results of individual endowment show that personal education level,health,party membership including urban hukou are all conducive to intergenerational mobility,indicating that the stronger the personal human capital,the more likely it is not to rely on the parents,therefore,from a personal point of view,the promotion of personal human capital can weaken the influence of the parents.The"pre-assignment" factor not only benefits the social and economic status of the children,so that the children gain an advantage in their peers,but also shows the role of promoting intergenerational mobility,which is a double positive effect.The results of considering the direction of intergenerational mobility further show that the role of the "preemptence" factor indicates that the intergenerational class flow reflects"convergence",that is,when the parent class is lower,the pre-assignment factor has a positive influence on the upward migration of the parent generation's social and economic status;In addition,this paper also takes into account the effect of population migration on intergenerational mobility,the study found that population migration can effectively promote intergenerational mobility 2.88 isi value,the heterogeneity of migration discussion found that migration of intergenerational mobility in the parents' low socio-economic status,children's high education level and rural household registration samples more obvious.According to the study,we should promote the rational distribution of educational resources,give full play to the role of education in promoting social mobility,persist in promoting the construction of clean government and the reform of state-owned enterprises,take into account efficiency and equity in regional development,and guard against class curing while focusing on development results,while continuing to deepen household registration reform,break down institutional barriers to population migration and promote social mobility.
