With the continuous development of the Chinese as a foreign language,we entered the new era of teaching methods and other new requirements,Chinese as a foreign language work needs to be updated and changed.Taking the teaching of Chinese characters as an example,it has been neglected for a long time because of its complexity and difficulty for learners to master.The traditional teaching method only conveys the pronunciation and meaning of Chinese characters to the students,and it can not meet the requirements of the learners to skim over the contents of the characters,the forms of Chinese characters and the combinations of words,learners need to further develop their learning of Chinese characters.By means of objects,photos,actions,videos and audio,teachers can show the teaching contents in a vivid way through the creation of scenes,and use sensory stimulation to enhance the students' impression,which can teach students the knowledge of Chinese characters.This paper discusses the application of situational teaching method in Chinese character class for overseas Chinese children,and takes the teaching situation of Chinese language teaching organization "Koala-know" as a case to carry out teaching design,obtain teaching effect,and the evaluation of the results,this article is composed of five chapters: the introduction of the article mainly on the selection of the background,research significance,research methods and literature review.Chapter one is a summary of situational teaching method.This chapter elaborates on the theoretical basis,the practical principles and characteristics of the situational approach,the types of the situational approach,and the significance of the situational approach in the TCSL.The second chapter introduces the Chinese Language Teaching Situation of the Chinese Language Teaching Organization "Koala knows".Including "Koala knows" Chinese teaching organization introduction,learner introduction,Chinese character lesson setting and content and so on.Chapter Three Teaching Design Scheme.Including the analysis of the relevant elements of teaching design,Chinese character lesson "parents" "letter" teaching process demonstration,scene creation demonstration.Chapter four teaching evaluation and reflection.By reviewing the teaching design process and showing the teaching effect,the teaching design is evaluated and reflected,and corresponding teaching suggestions are made.Chapter five is conclusion.Summary of the full text of the summary and prospects.
