Today,the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language has gone through seventy years of development,and through the continuous exploration of Chinese as a foreign language workers,good achievements have been made in both discipline construction,theoretical research and practical research.However,the development of the discipline is a dynamic and up-to-date process.The research results obtained at the moment can guide us in solving known problems,but with the development of teaching Chinese as a foreign language and the depth of related research,new and individualized situations will inevitably emerge,requiring new and targeted solutions.Therefore,with the gradual increase in the number of Chinese learners in non-target language environments,the gradual diversification of learning levels,the gradual diversification of learning needs,and even the gradual ageing of Chinese learners as more and more countries incorporate Chinese into their primary and secondary school national education systems,the research on teaching Chinese as a foreign language is facing a new situation and challenge.In this context,as an overseas Chinese teacher,it is especially important to explore more effective pedagogical methods to improve the teaching efficiency of Chinese classes by combining actual teaching experience.Game teaching method is a teaching method that uses interesting and competitive games to practice language elements and language skills in order to improve teaching effectiveness and students' interest in learning.This paper takes secondary school students in Cape Verde as the target group of the survey.The aim of this paper is to summarize the current problems in implementing game activities in Chinese classes for secondary school students in Cape Verde and the preferences of overseas Chinese teachers and learners,and to summarize the targeted teaching principles,that is pertinence,competitiveness,flexibility,effectiveness,practicality,appropriateness and efficiency.In the hope of providing a little reference and inspiration for later volunteer Chinese teachers in Cape Verde when using the game teaching method to teach Chinese.
