High school students are at an important turning point of developing their personality and improving their thinking ability.Teachers in high schools naturally play an important role in cultivating talents for the country.To some extent,the professional development of biology teachers in senior high schools play an important role in supporting the progress of science and the development of biological literacy in the whole country.In order to better promote professional development of biology teachers in senior high schools,we must first dig out teachers' group of internal and external demand to find practical ways to help teachers develop high-quality professional and construct high quality of professional teachers based on the professional development of the group stage and the factors that affect their professional development.Based on Maslow's hierarchy of needs theory,Herzberg's two-factor theory and teachers' professional development stage theory,this study designed questionnaires and interviews to investigate related issues.For the first time,the nature of teachers' schools,namely public schools and private schools,were included the background factors for correlation analysis.This paper also combines the survey conclusion with the observation and practice of classroom teaching of biology teachers in senior high schools for the first time,so that the needs and difficulties of biology teachers in senior high schools are realized,and the real needs of front-line biology teachers are excavated from the real teaching environment.A total of 181 questionnaires were collected in this questionnaire survey.SPSS20.0software was used for statistical analysis of the survey results and Origin software was used for drawing.The results show that,in terms of professional development consciousness,biology teachers in senior high schools are in a good state of professional development,and most of them are in a rising stage of professional development.However,some teachers lack the consciousness of active development,and lack the methods and ability of professional development.In terms of professional knowledge,biology teachers in senior high schools have a great demand for professional knowledge and teaching knowledge of biology.Different from the previous teachers' demand for theory,the tested teachers are more inclined to choose the practical level of knowledge and support of relevant teaching ability.In terms of professional competence,biology teachers have great demands on modern information technology,teaching and education research methods and results conversion methods,and pay attention to practical contents related to curriculum reform.Through the analysis of teachers' professional development needs,it can be found that salary and education fund investment has a huge impact on teachers' professional development,and teaching environment also can control the direction and speed of the teachers' professional development.In addition,individual consciousness of professional development of teachers' professional development also plays a decisive role.Different gender,educational background,school nature and other background factors have different degrees and levels of influence on teacher professional development.Through the observation of the classroom teaching of biology teachers in senior high schools,it is found that with the increase of teaching age,the need for their own professional development becomes weaker.Rich teaching experience can help teachers improve their teaching ability;Young teachers have stronger teaching media production ability.Based on this,the author puts forward some suggestions from three aspects: teachers,schools and society.From the level of teachers: teachers need to strengthen the consciousness of independent professional development,change the "ordinary" teachers into "expert" teachers;From the school level: schools should create a good working environment for teachers to strengthen the incentive mechanism and to ensure the basic needs for teachers;Schools also should perfect the management mechanism to promote the professional development of teachers,reasonably reduce the burden of teachers and enhance the sense of belonging of teachers;From the social level: it should improve the professional development system of teachers,vigorously enhance the social status of teachers,pay attention to the teaching of basic professional courses and the cultivate basic professional skills of normal university students.
