Art Education in compulsory education plays a positive role in promoting students' all-round development in basic education. In junior high school art teaching, students' psychological problems in the process of art learning are often ignored. In the art class of junior high school,we often notice that individual students or even some students are tired and resistant to art class, which is manifested in distraction, daze, sleep, doing other things, such as reading other books or doing other subjects' homework and so on.In the classroom participation is very weak, passive participation in classroom activities such as question and answer.Perfunctory completion of art homework or ashamed to show their own painting manual and other homework.First of all, these emotions and behaviors hinder the development of students imperceptibly. We can use the concept of "negative adaptation" in psychology to summarize these phenomena. The connotation of this concept is that people's maladjustment to the environment when they encounter a specific situation may lead to psychological problems or diseases. In order to get rid of the frustration situation, people take defensive strategies and start the psychological defense mechanism of frustration in order to reduce anxiety and achieve psychological balance. The mood and state caused by these psychological defense mechanisms will temporarily relieve students' anxiety to adapt to the specific situation of art class, but it will also make students gradually accumulate and become psychological problems or diseases. For example, the realistic anxiety of painting is the main obstacle of junior high school students in art learning. The development of junior high school students' painting is divided into "writing period".One of the remarkable characteristics in the realistic period of painting is that modeling changes from symbolism to realism. At the same time, there is "adolescent crisis",and self-identity is very unstable.Junior high school students who don't like painting will have anxiety at this time, and such realistic anxiety will trigger the psychological defense mechanism to make themselves stable.Secondly, the negative adaptation in art learning will have a negative impact on junior high school art teaching.First of all,it will affect students' cognition of art discipline, the cultivation of students' learning ability and the sound development of students' mind.Secondly,it will affect the leading role of teachers and the dominant position of students in art teaching. Finally,it will affect the effectiveness of classroom teaching, the effectiveness of evaluation, and the learning enthusiasm of other students in the class. To sum up,it is important and necessary to study the negative adaptation of junior high school students in art learning. Finally, based on Freud's theory of psychological defense mechanism, this paper divides the types of junior high school students' negative adaptation in art learning into regressive negative adaptation, substitution negative adaptation, repressive negative adaptation, denial negative adaptation and reverse formative negative adaptation.According to the causes and types of junior high school students' negative adaptation in art learning. The use of psychotherapy theory combined with junior high school art teaching design to assist digestion and transformation of negative adaptation. The theory of motivation level is used to eliminate regressive negative adaptation and alternative negative adaptation, and the method of systematic desensitization is used to eliminate decompressive negative adaptation.Operational conditioning was used to help eliminate negative adaptation of denial.Cognitive behavioral therapy is used to help eliminate negative adaptation of reverse formative type.
