Research On The Teaching Strategy Of High School Geography Textbook Activity Column

Abstract/Summary:
As a part of the geography teaching material,the activity column is also an important carrier for cultivating the core literacy of geography of students,occupying an important position in the geography teaching material.The "General Senior High School Geography Curriculum Standards(2017 Edition)" put forward the concept of "core literacy in geography".On this basis,various editions of textbooks have also been revised,and the presentation of activity columns in the textbook has also changed.For a long time,people lacked sufficient understanding of the importance of the activity column,and did not pay much attention to the cultivation of students’ core literacy of geography on this basis.Based on the requirements of the core literacy training of geography,this article analyzes the characteristics of the activity columns in the new textbook of the 2019 People’s Education Edition,and combines the current implementation status of the activity columns,and proposes corresponding teaching strategies,and strives to provide a certain basis for teachers to implement the activity column teaching.This article is divided into three parts:First of all,through the literature research method,the teaching development of domestic and foreign activity columns is sorted out: the activity columns in foreign geography textbooks also occupy a very important position,and the foreign geography teaching focuses on the students’ perception of geographic knowledge.The teaching method is mainly based on activity teaching,usually around a certain geographical phenomenon or geographical thing;domestic research on the activity columns in textbooks mainly focuses on the following aspects: theoretical basic research,functional research,classification of activity columns Research and implement applied research,etc.Secondly,it discusses the theoretical basis of this article,expounds Dewey’s activity teaching theory,constructivism theory,and Vygotsky’s Zone of proximal development theory,etc.,which support the thesis and lay the foundation for the following research work.Secondly,the content and quantity of the activity columns in Geography 1 and Geography 2of the 2019 PEP high school geography textbook are analyzed,and the activity columns are divided into survey and practice activities according to the content and implementation methods of the activity columns.There are six types of activities such as drawing and filling out forms,opinion elaboration activities,question exploration activities,case analysis activities,and image reading and thinking activities;secondly,this article uses a questionnaire survey method to carry out the current implementation status of the activity columns in the current front-line geography classroom The survey,based on the results of the questionnaire,analyzed the existing problems in the implementation of the current geography classroom activity column.The current problems mainly include the following aspects: low activity implementation frequency,low student participation,and different types of activity columns.Different,and analyzed the reasons for the different frequency of implementation of different types of activities.Finally,based on the results of the questionnaire analysis,combined with the problems in the implementation of the activity and my own teaching experience,corresponding strategies were proposed for the implementation of the six types of activities: investigating teaching strategies for practical activities-discovering teaching strategies;drawing and filling in forms Class activity teaching strategy-diagram classification and processing strategy;viewpoint statement activity teaching strategy-classroom open inquiry strategy;problem inquiry activity teaching strategyinformation processing integration strategy;case analysis activity teaching strategy-information analysis application strategy;The teaching strategy of reading pictures and thinking activitiesgenerative learning strategy.And based on each teaching strategy,a corresponding teaching case is designed for reference.
