With the in-depth development of social information and knowledgebased society,education is facing a comprehensive and profound change,that is,the transformation from “teaching” to “learning”,and “core literacy”and “deep learning” have respectively become the purpose and effective approach of this change.As an immersive digital technology,virtual reality is influencing traditional classrooms imperceptibly.It can not only support pupils' learning engagement by creating pseudo-realistic learning environment,but also provide practical paths for the development of pupils' deep learning and core literacy.Based on this,to support the development of pupils' writing accomplishment,this research revolves around a core problem “How to use SVVR(Spherical Video-based Virtual Reality)as an effective method support pupils' deep writing learning”,by the core problem of the extended three sub-problems: “Can SVVR promote pupils' writing performance”,“Can SVVR promote pupils' writing engagement”,“Can SVVR support pupils' deep writing learning”.This study had selected59 grade four pupils and divided them into the experimental group which is learning with the SVVR method and the control group which is learning with the traditional method.The results showed that:(1)There is a significant difference in the comprehensive writing performance of the two groups,and the average score of the experimental group is higher than the control group,but their writing performance of theme fitness and creative thinking were no significant difference.(2)There are significant differences in the performance of the two groups of pupils in the writing cognitive engagement,among which the writing cognitive engagement of the experimental group has improved significantly.(3)Pupils in the experimental group showed significant improvement in the writing emotional engagement,while the control group showed no significant difference.(4)The video analysis found that the number of pupils with the high writing behavioral engagement in the experimental group was significantly more than that in the control group,which indicated that SVVR could support pupils' writing behavioral engagement.(5)The results of video analysis found that compared with the control group,the quality of deep writing learning of pupils in the experimental group was significantly improved,the answers in the level of single point structure were significantly reduced.And the answers at the level of association structure and abstract extension have increased obviously.(6)Compared with the control group,the cognitive load of pupils in the experimental group decreased significantly,indicating that SVVR will not bring additional cognitive burden to pupils;(7)After the interviews with the experimental group,the results of the grounded theory analysis showed that the SVVR could enhance the pupils' writing cognitive engagement,writing emotional engagement and writing behavioral engagement,as well as their writing depth of expression.The above research conclusions fully confirm the value and outstanding contribution of SVVR in supporting pupils' deep learning of writing.
