As the revision of new curriculum syllabus,the core literacy of chemistry plays a central part in research and teaching.There are a variety of materials for chemistry education on daily basis.While Project-Based Learning(PBL)is close to the real life,it is increasingly popular in chemistry education.Based on many essays from Educational Psychology,Teaching Theory and some experience from practical classroom,this dissertation gives the definitions of relevant concepts about PBL within chemistry education under the background of core literacy.After that,the author proposes the principles of designing educational goals,planning teaching process and measuring results,with the method of literature,interview,questionnaire,paper-pencil test,followed by three examples of PBL.To be specific,the three topics are:"I am responsible for producing sulfuric acid";"inspection and content determination of iron in Auricularia auricular";"image problems related to ion balance in aqueous solution".Then,educational experiment was conducted by using three examples.There are two innovations in this study.First,PBL was implemented in grade 10th;second,two teaching examples based on PBL were developed in reviewing class of grade 12th,which enrich the types of PBL for senior high school chemistry education and contribute to the integration of teaching,learning and evaluation.According to the results,PBL enhances the level of students' core literacy and their academic performance.In addition,the theories were also verified.Also,the results provide teachers in high school an avenue to implement PBL examples.
