Research On The Development And Utilization Of Local Geography Curriculum Resources In Junior High School Of Hefei City

With the continuous advancement of the new curriculum reform,the cultivation of the geographical core competencies of middle school students has attracted widespread attention.local geography teaching is an important support for the implementation of the geographical core competencies,which also has an important role and significance in promoting the reform of new geography courses at the same time.However,during the practice process of geography teaching in middle school,there are still problems such as insufficient attention to the local geography curriculum and the single teaching form of local geography.It is of great significance to develop and utilize local geography curriculum resources.It is not only helpful to enhance students' interest in geography learning,and cultivate students' emotion of loving their hometown,but also one of the inevitable requirements of the new geography curriculum reform.This article explores the development and utilization of local geography curriculum resources.Firstly,the concepts of "local geography" and "curriculum resources,were defined respectively;then some front-line teachers were interviewed and investigated to understand the current situation of the development and utilization of geography curriculum resources in Hefei City,analyze the current problems form it;and put forward corresponding development strategies;then sort out and summarize the natural and human geography resources in Hefei,integrate it with geography textbooks to sort out development system of local geography curriculum resources.Finally,according to the actual teaching situation,three application cases of local geography curriculum resources were designed to provide references for middle school geography teaching.This paper analyzes the problems existing in the development and utilization of local geography curriculum resources in Hefei:the school does not pay enough attention to the teaching of local geography;some teachers lack the ability to develop the curriculum resources of the local geography;the teaching method of local geography in the classroom is single.In response to the problems in the development and utilization of local geography curriculum resources,corresponding measures are proposed:education departments at all levels should pay attention to the teaching of local geography,organize teachers and experts to develop local geography resources,and provide necessary support for the development of local geography.Carry out relevant training on the teaching of local geography to improve resource development ability for teachers.Teachers can obtain local geography materials by consulting books and newspapers,searching for network resources,and field trips.In the classroom,they can also carry out more research studies,enrich the forms of curriculum resource development and utilization to cultivate the geographical core competencies of students.
