With the deepening of the new curriculum reform, the new management system, the teaching system and the new curriculum idea has a great impact to our traditional education system. Wherein the implementation of national, local and school three levels course management system for schools, to make it more autonomy and flexibility in curriculum design and development, it can be designed to develop in line with the characteristics of students and stimulate student interest in courses; especially for high school geography, it can complete the national curriculum and local programs at the same time, than it can make "learn to live useful geography" as the goal to development local geography curriculum with local characteristics, or interspersed on local geography related to the teaching process, so that not only meet the objectives of the new curriculum reform, but also can stimulate students' interest in learning geography. So that they can learn the theoretical knowledge at the same time and to understand their own home, love their home, to increase their sense of pride in their home.However, in the specific geography teaching process, teachers to develop the local geography curriculum resources is very little, in teaching process interspersed with the local geography of knowledge is also very little, the students understand their home is poorly. And the author in sorting out and analyzing some of the existing about the local geography literature found that theoretical research related with the local geography course resources has been relatively perfect; but with respect to theoretical knowledge, although it can enrich the teachers' theoretical knowledge, but to operation, it has little effect.It is based on the fact, the research make the Xiuwu County, Jiaozuo city as an example, on the background of new curriculum reform, The research combined development and utilization of local geography curriculum resources with regional Xiuwu county. Start from the details, the research defined related concepts, based on Vygotsky's zone of proximal development" theory, Howard Gardner's theory of multiple intelligences and Piaget's cognitive development theory as the theoretical basis, and the research on local geography theoretical at home and abroad were sorted and analyzed; By using the method of questionnaire, interview,field trips and other research methods, to understand the local geography related research status of Xiuwu County, to analyze the problems existing in the process of development and utilization,to organize the local geography curriculum resources of Xiuwu County. Finally, suggestions are put forward according to the existing problems in Xiuwu county of local geography curriculum resources development and utilization.The study of Xiuwu County local geography curriculum resources were systematic collation and collection, and through questionnaires and interviews, to understand the Xiuwu county local geography curriculum resources utilization status, using Excel, SPSS statistical analysis software to analyz the date from the questionnaire, finfing that Xiuwu County in local geography curriculum resources development and utilization process has the following prominent problems:(1) Relevant education sector has short board about support and supervise the development and utilization of Xiuwu County local geography curriculum resources;(2)Development and utilization of Xiuwu County local geography curriculum resources lack of institutional safeguards, lacking of relatively complete evaluation mechanisms and incentives;(3)Teachers are not allowed to develop and utilize local geography curriculum resources becauseof their limited capacity and the actual conditions are not allowed;(4)Schools, teachers and education departments lack of theoretical knowledge in the local geography curriculum resources development and utilization and so on. By analyzing the problems existed in process of development and utilization of Xiuwu county local geography curriculum resources, the author from the education sector, the school, teachers and student propose some corresponding strategies:(1)Education departments should do a good job in the work of supervision and management, supporting schools and teachers to organization and write related local geography textbook, corresponding to give schools and teachers financial support, improveing the enthusiasm of schools and teachers.(2)The school should conscientiously three-level curriculum management system, creating a good atmosphere of development and utilization of local geography curriculum resources, encouraging teachers to actively participate in the development and utilization of local geography, pay attention to family education of local geography, carring out local geography experiments.(3)Teachers should set up the consciousness of development and utilization of local geography course resources, combine the teaching theory with Xiuwu County local, improving the interest of students learning geography and giving teachers fair evaluation;(4)The students should establish a positive sense, often with like-minded students carry out about the development and utilization of local geography curriculum resources, making full use of nearby resources, be good at discovering, be good at thinking, to broadening their horizons, improving their learning ability.
