Research On Group Work Practice Of Spiritual Comfort For Left-behind Elderly People In Rural Areas From The Perspective Of Advantage

Through researching domestic and foreign research on the needs of rural left-behind elders for elderly care services,it is found that the rural left-behind elders' needs in terms of financial support,living care,medical and health care have been met to varying degrees.However,the key factor that determines the quality of elderly care is to meet the spiritual needs of the left-behind elderly.Therefore,the dilemma of alleviating the mental comfort of the left-behind elderly is even more urgent.From the perspective of traditional problems,the rural left-behind elderly have problems such as decline in physical functions,low quality of life,lack of financial resources,and backward concepts for the elderly.They are regarded as a disadvantaged group in society and do not have superior resources.This research starts from the perspective of superiority,and takes the rural left-behind elderly in the poverty alleviation villages of the researcher's unit as the research object.During the preliminary visits and investigations,we have grasped the current situation of the mental comfort of the left-behind elderly in Z village,and then assessed and analyzed their mental comfort needs.It is found that the spiritual needs of the left-behind elderly in emotional support,cultural entertainment,and interpersonal communication have not been effectively met.In addition,I analyzed the relative advantages of the left-behind elderly in Z village.On the basis of the above,a series of group activities have been designed using the superior resources of the left-behind elderly to help them exert their own initiative and enhance their sense of self-satisfaction and identity.An emotional support and interaction system among the left-behind elderly are established initially to promote the satisfaction of their spiritual comfort needs.According to the actual situation in Z village,this group activity recruited 8left-behind elders as team members.Through five group activities,the leisure life of the left-behind elders has been enriched and the advantage resources of the left-behind elders have been brought into play.The trust and familiarity among the elderly have increased,and emotional support has been established among peer groups,which has played a certain role in alleviating the mental comfort dilemma of the left-behind elderly.This study has the following conclusions: First,make good use of the advantages of team members to lay a good foundation for the smooth development of group activities;Second,this research focuses on stimulating the enthusiasm and initiative of team members in participating in activities,so as to obtain spiritual satisfaction and follow-up for team members Provide a reference for carrying out similar activities.Of course,this research also has points worthy of reflection:First,factors such as social workers' abilities and insufficient resource links directly affect the quality and effectiveness of services.How to improve the effectiveness of group work services is a part of the future that needs to be focused on in practice.The second is how to effectively maintain the effects of the activities after the professional service activities organized by social workers are over.Suggestion is that it can be achieved by fostering mutual self-organization of left-behind elderly in rural areas.However,due to the lack of resource links in rural communities and the lack of professional social workers,most rural areas still do not have the conditions for self-organization.How to integrate the various forces and promote the cultivation of mutual self-organization of left-behind elderly in rural areas still needs further research.
