The "General High School Mathematics Curriculum Standards(2017 Edition)"puts forward the six core literacy of high school mathematics. As the first of the six core literacy, the importance of mathematical abstract literacy is self-evident.And mathematics reading is an important way for students to obtain mathematics information and conduct mathematical abstraction. Therefore, this study took 179 high school students from Grade A and Grade B high schools as the research object, and explored the current situation of high school students' mathematical reading ability and mathematical abstract accomplishment as well as the correlation between them.In this study, the mathematical reading ability is divided into four dimensions, and the mathematical abstract literacy is divided into three levels. The test volumes of the mathematical reading ability and the mathematical abstract literacy of high school students are compiled respectively, and the measurement of the mathematical reading ability and the mathematical abstract literacy of high school students is carried out.The main problems explored in this study are;(1)the current situation of high school students' mathematical reading ability;(2)the current situation of high school students'mathematical abstract literacy;(3)Correlation between high school students'mathematical reading ability and mathematical abstract literacy. With the help of SPSS software for mathematical statistical analysis, the following conclusions are drawn:(1)Senior high school students do not perform well in math reading ability, with an average score of 15.59 out of 32 points. There is no gender difference in the overall score of math reading ability and the scores of each dimension, but the performance of senior high school students ranked top is significantly better than that of senior high school students ranked average.(2)Senior high school students have a general performance in mathematical literacy, with an average score of 17.50 out of 32.There is no significant difference between male and female students in the total score of mathematical abstract accomplishment, level 2 and level 3.But at Level 1,boys scored significantly higher than girls. In terms of the total scores of abstract literacy in mathematics and the performance of each level, the students of high school A are significantly better than those of high school B.(3)There is a close relationship between high school students' mathematical reading ability and mathematical abstract literacy, with a correlation coefficient of 0.685.The correlation coefficients between mathematical abstract literacy and the four dimensions of mathematical reading ability are 0.442,0.468,0.548 and 0.361,respectively.The correlation between mathematical reading ability and the three levels of mathematical abstract literacy is also significant, the correlation coefficients are 0.304,0.609 and 0.600,respectively.Taking the total score of high school students' mathematical reading ability as the independent variable and the total score of mathematical abstract accomplishment as the dependent variable, the regression analysis was carried out to obtain the non-standardized equation y=0.704x+6.528.Taking the scores of four dimensions of mathematical reading ability as independent variables and the total scores of mathematical abstract literacy as dependent variables, the regression analysis was carried out to obtain the non-standardized equation y=0.873x1+0.544x2+0.753x3+0.489x4+6.440(x1,x2,x3 and x4,in turn, are mutual translation, understanding differentiation, generalization reasoning, reflection and expansion).
