After new curriculum standards clearly put forward the core literacy of geography,and because the three literacy of man-land coordination,comprehensive thinking and regional cognition deeply affect the studying of geography,it has been given sufficient attention and embodied geography teaching in senior high school.By contrast,the research on the practical ability of geography and its application in the actual teaching of geography in senior high school is inadequate.As for the educational design of geographical practice activities,the current training of geographical practice ability has some problems such as not enough development of the textbooks,and insufficient integration with the cases stated in the textbooks.This is also related to the slow update of the old textbooks and the inconsistency with the current situation of rapid social development.The new geography textbook for senior high school published by the People's Education Edition starts from the needs of social development.The "Problem Research" column is more closely related to national development and daily life of the people.It guides students to apply the knowledge they have learned in school to practice and can effectively train students.The geographical core literacy,especially the practical ability of geography,meets the needs of social development.Based on the above research background and purpose,the author first used the method of literature research to comprehensively interpret the relevant policy documents,clarified the recommendations and requirements for the training of geographic practice in the new curriculum standard,and the specific requirements of the college entrance examination reform for the teaching of the "problem research" column.Then,the author selected senior teachers and students of 10 ordinary high schools at different levels in Foshan City,Guangdong Province as the research objects,and used the method of questionnaire survey to investigate the implementation of the "problem research" column in the process of geography teaching and the training of students' geographic practice ability.After investigating the status quo and statistical analysis,the author has sorted out the following conclusions:(1)From an objective point of view,the heavy tasks of senior high school teaching and limited teaching time is the most important limiting factor for the "problem research" column and the training of geographic practice.At the same time,the current teaching evaluation system for geographic practice is not perfect.(2)From the perspective of teachers,teachers do not have enough understanding and attention to geography practice.In addition,teachers' ability to develop teaching resources and guide students in geography practice needs to be improved.(3)Generally speaking,students have insufficient knowledge and initiative on the "problem research" column and geographical practice,insufficient practical experiences,leading to the generally low level of geographical practice,and insufficient awareness of cooperative inquiry and in-depth thinking.In response to the above problems,the author puts forward corresponding strategies in turn,such as "arrangement of column teaching time reasonably,making full use of teaching opportunities such as club classes and tutor meetings","strengthening the training.of students in normal university,and enhancing the geographic practice capabilities,of teachers",and "combined with local geography,to effectively develop and utilize of textbook resources",and so on.At the same time,combining the requirements and classification standards of new curriculum standards for the level of geographic practice and the classroom evaluation system of the school where the author teaches,a preliminary construction of the "question research" column practice activity evaluation scale for the cultivation of geographic practice is preliminarily constructed.Finally,on the basis of the above research,a teaching case was designed for the"problem research" column in each chapters of the second compulsory textbook of the 2019 edition for People's Education,to illustrate how to use the "problem research"column in actual teaching to train students.
