In June 2019,the State Council issued the guiding opinions on promoting the reform of education methods in senior high schools in the new era,which made a comprehensive instruction on how to promote the reform of education and teaching and comprehensively improve the quality of education in general high schools[1].The Ministry of education pointed out in the guidance on the implementation of new curriculum and teaching materials for general high schools,the pilot provinces of comprehensive reform of college entrance examination can start to implement new curriculum and use new teaching materials from the first year of senior high school in autumn 2019[2].Based on the implementation of the 2017 edition of the general high school geography curriculum standard and the requirements of the cultivation of the middle school students'geographical core literacy,the content of the new textbook has changed significantly.The"activity"column is still an important part of the whole new edition of the textbook.It is of great significance for the implementation of the new curriculum concept and the optimization of the teaching mode to improve the students'geographical core literacy and fully tap the permeable geographical practice in the"activity"column of the new textbook.This paper takes the"activity"column of the geography compulsory textbook of 2019 new edition of human education as the research object.On the basis of consulting relevant materials such as activity teaching and geographical core literacy training,it summarizes the research status at home and abroad,and defines the concept of"activity"column.Using qualitative and quantitative analysis to deconstruct the"activity"column of the new textbook,and analyze its role in cultivating students'will quality and action ability in geography practice.Under the guidance of activity teaching,metacognition,and Gagne's information processing theory,this paper uses the scale evaluation method to evaluate the level of geography practical ability of students in geography practical activities,analyzes the existing problems in the current stage of geography practical ability teaching of senior high school students,and puts forward the teaching effectiveness strategies according to the current situation.The conclusion is as follows:?1?There are 78"activities"columns in the new edition of the textbook,compared with the old version of textbooks,it has an advantage in"quantity"and is more practical and close to life in"quality".The material selection is novel,various types,reasonable number distribution of each chapter,excellent traditional Chinese culture,and link to the community of human destiny.?2?By carrying out the practice activity of"observing the landform of hometown",using the evaluation scale of geographical practice ability to evaluate and analyze the level of geographical practice ability of senior high school students,it is found that there are some problems in the current high school geography practice teaching,such as formalization,low practical awareness of teachers and students,insufficient ability of students'drawing and hands-on operation,narrow knowledge of students,lack of geographical practice resources,and so on.?3?Combined with the practical research of this paper,six teaching strategies are put forward to cultivate the geography practical ability of senior high school students by using the"activity"column of teaching materials.Teaching design is carried out according to the strategy,which can provide effective guidance for front-line teachers in the teaching of"activity"in the new textbook.
