The reform of examination evaluation has always been a focus of social concern. The reform of education assessment in the new era emphasizes the need to "strengthen the evaluation process",pay attention to the process of student growth, and give full play to the diagnostic function of exams. However, because many middle schools do not pay enough attention to the usual geography exams, the test paper preparation process is relatively random, and some schools even directly use the test papers purchased on the market.Such test results cannot reflect the student's learning situation, and it is easy for students to fall into an "ocean of paper",students are tired of exams and are inefficient. Therefore, how to compile a high-quality geographic diagnostic test paper and give full play to the diagnostic function of the test is an important issue facing all geographic educators. This article takes the geographic diagnostic test paper as the research object.Firstly,it combs the research status of test paper preparation from four aspects:test paper preparation theory, test paper structure design, test paper preparation steps, and test paper quality analysis combined with literature research method.Secondly, through the questionnaire survey and the collection of the geography test papers of the internship school, the problems in the compilation of the overall middle school geography test papers are analyzed. Then, taking the chapter "Shaping the Surface Shape" as an example, the test paper preparation process is proposed, and the geographical diagnostic test paper of this chapter is compiled. In addition, the quality of the test paper was tested and optimized from both qualitative and quantitative research. In terms of qualitative research,it passed The expert consultation method checks the content validity of the test paper;in terms of quantitative research, the Winsteps related to the Rasch model is used.In addition, the Rasch model is used to further analyze the diagnostic function of the test paper from the two aspects of the class group and individual students. Finally, review the research process of this article, and put forward suggestions to improve the quality of the compilation of geographic diagnostic test papers.Below are the research results of this article:(1)At present, the reasons for the poor quality of the geography test papers and poor diagnostic effects in middle schools are,on the one hand, the lack of standardized test paper preparation process and lack of scientific test paper evaluation methods;on the other hand, the lack of "diagnostics" in the test papers themselves.(2)Standardizing the test paper preparation process, matching and selecting high-quality test questions can improve the diagnostic function of the test paper. When preparing test papers, attention should be paid to setting diagnostic goals and constructing diagnostic criteria in advance, converting the diagnostic data collected from students' error-prone points and other diagnostic data into test sites, matching and selecting high-quality test questions according to the chapter quality standards, and improving the diagnostic effect.(3)The quality analysis results of the test papers show that most of the test papers prepared have passed the Rasch model test. The reliability and validity of the test papers are relatively high, the difficulty of the test papers is relatively large, the distinguishing effect is better, and it is more suitable for students with upper-middle ability.(4)On the one hand, the Rasch model is conducive to identifying problematic test questions and improving the quality of test papers;on the other hand,it is conducive to further analysis of the diagnostic function of test papers, and can effectively perform diagnostic analysis from both the class group and individual students.
