Ancient Egypt,one of the four great ancient civilizations,has a long history and culture,while its mural art has witnessed the rise and fall in its history of over three thousand years.Ancient Egyptians' choosing the form of murals as a way to record their lives and convey their thoughts has not only made their murals an important archaeological basis,but also provided a driving force to improve modern people's aesthetic appreciation and artistic creation.With its unique artistic language,Egyptian murals expressed the conception and aesthetic standards of human beings in their primary stage,which is similar to primary school students' paintings of our country.Incorporating ancient Egyptian mural art into primary school art textbooks and designing teaching contents based on primary school students' painting characteristics and their psychological features can not only enrich primary school art teaching resources and stimulate students' interest in learning,but also bring visual impact on students and improve their art expressions.It can,meanwhile,expand our learning content and enhance students' understanding of different cultures.This paper makes a comprehensive and in-depth study on the integration of ancient Egyptian murals into primary school art teaching at three phrases of primary school,which aims to enhance students' ability in aesthetics,innovation,observation and modeling performance and promote the formation of students' core accomplishments.This thesis has four parts besides Introduction and Conclusion.The first part studies the ancient Egyptian mural art and primary school students' psychological characteristics in artistic expressions through literature research,surveys the evolution of ancient Egyptian mural art from two aspects of relief sculpture and painting and analyzes primary school students' painting characteristics and their psychology at three stages of low graphic symbolism,middle graphic realism and high visual realism.It thus concludes that there exist some similarities between primary school students'paintings and ancient Egyptian murals in the way of depiction,composition and thinking.The second part analyzes from three angles of color,shape and story content the application of ancient Egyptian mural art in primary school art teaching,based on the presentation of related contents of ancient Egyptian murals in various versions of primary school art teaching materials.The third part explores the significance and value of integrating ancient Egyptian murals into primary school art classroom through practical teaching,which was conducted respectively at low,middle and high stages by incorporating ancient Egyptian murals in the primary art teaching textbooks published by the People's Fine Art Publishing House.The fourth part makes a reflection and outlook on the integration of ancient Egyptian mural art into primary school art teaching.Through theoretical research and practical teaching,this study brings ancient Egyptian mural art into primary school art classroom,with the aim of improving students' understanding of various cultures and promoting their all-round development.Meanwhile,it hopes to provide some inspiration and help for art educators in curriculum development and effective use of ancient Egyptian mural resources.
