With the rapid development of the global economy,all countries have gradually come to a common understanding:the development of economy should also improve the quality of citizens,so as to succeed in the complex social environment.In order to implement the fundamental goal of "cultivating people by virtue" and promote the lifelong development of modern citizens,the Chemistry Curriculum Standards for General Senior High Schools(2017 Edition)proposed the key Competencies of chemistry in senior high schools,which included five dimensions including "scientific inquiry and innovation consciousness" and covered a very wide range.However,how to implement the key Competencies of various dimensions in high school chemistry teaching is still a problem worth exploring.Chemistry is a subject based on experiments.It is necessary to implement the key Competencies of chemistry in high school chemistry experiment teaching.Only innovation can make progress,so today's society needs more talents with innovative ability.For this reason,the author chose the implementation of the key Competency of "scientific inquiry and innovation consciousness" to carry out a more in-depth study.This study mainly included five aspects:(1)Introduction,the background of this research,the research status,research ideas and methods,research objectives and significance of the key Competencies of "scientific inquiry and innovation consciousness" and the chemistry experiment teaching at home and abroad were described;(2)The "scientific inquiry and innovation consciousness" in the key Competencies of chemistry discipline in this study was defined.The concept of chemistry experiment teaching was defined and other related theories were expounded.(3)Research:first,I understood the local high school chemistry experiment teaching in the implementation of the key Competencies through the teacher interviews.Then,through questionnaires,the local high school students were asked to understand the cognition of students on chemical experiments,school experimental conditions,experiment development,teachers' attitude,students' participation,experiment evaluation and other aspects.(4)I put forward corresponding strategies according to the status quo learned from the investigation.Under the guidance of the strategy and related theoretical basis,the teaching design research,practice and case analysis were carried out with "the properties of sodium metal and its compounds" as an example.In this study,two classes of the same level in the first grade of Wusheng Middle School were taken as the experimental class and the control class respectively,and the practical research was carried out in the selected experimental class.The corresponding conclusions were drawn through classroom observation and student interviews.Finally,more appropriate experimental teaching cases were designed through reflection.(5)Research conclusions and prospects:it included research conclusions,shortcomings of this study and prospects for follow-up research,etc.It was found that the exploratory experimental teaching strategy of creating appropriate situation,driving and guiding students with progressive questions,and group division of labor had obvious help to cultivate the key Competencies of "experimental exploration and innovation consciousness".The students' chemistry scores had been improved to a certain extent,their thinking was more broad and flexible,and their experimental skills had been enhanced to varying degrees.High school stage is the key period to cultivate students' key Competencies of chemistry.We should pay more attention to chemical experiment and design suitable chemistry experiment class for high school students.
