With the promulgation of the new edition of Ideological and Political Curriculum Standards for Ordinary Senior High Schools(hereinafter referred to as the new curriculum standard),carrying out social investigation activities is an important carrier for the ideological and political courses in senior high schools to reflect the nature of the curriculum and echo the curriculum concept.Social investigation activities can not only show the new orientation of the activity-oriented subject course of high school ideological and political courses,but also more conducive to the cultivation and shaping of students’ core discipline quality.Social investigation originated in foreign countries.There are abundant literatures about social investigation abroad,while there are relatively few in China.Under the background of the integration of various disciplines,the social investigation method in the field of sociology is gradually applied to the teaching of various subjects in middle schools,and the ideological and political subjects in high schools are one of them.This research mainly adopts the method of literature research,questionnaire,observation and other methods to study the application status of social investigation activities in high school ideological and political class.The author summarizes the research characteristics and relevant enlightenment of this research by consulting and learning the research results at home and abroad.Then the activity data collected in the process of education practice is sorted out,which not only finds a lot of problems,but also finds a lot of reference methods for organizations to carry out social investigation activities.This paper is divided into three parts.The first part is on the basis of literature research and study,the author defines the concept of social investigation activities in high school ideological and political class,and expounds the characteristics of social investigation activities and its significance to teaching.In the second part,by using the research methods of questionnaire survey and interview,the author summed up the problems existing in the application of social investigation activities in high school ideological and political courses,which specifically include:low application efficiency,activity system has not been established,and low degree of student participation.At the same time,through the method of literature research,the author concludes that the reasons for the problems in social investigation activities of high school ideological and political courses mainly include the influence of exam-oriented education,the lack of teachers’ relevant literacy,the limited conditions of social investigation activities and the lack of students’ ability to participate in social investigation activities.The third part,from different perspectives,puts forward the optimization strategies of social investigation activities of high school ideological and political lessons,including enhancing teachers’ professional quality,optimizing the leading force of social investigation,enhancing students’ ability to participate in the survey activities,and ensuring the conditions of extra-curricular activities.
