Comparative Study of Textbooks is a widely concerned research topic in the field of education.This paper selects two editions of textbooks from mainland China and Taiwan,takes trigonometry in textbooks as the research object,and makes a comparative study on the contents of textbooks from macroscopic and microscopic dimensions.In the macroscopic dimension,this paper makes a comparative study from the appearance of the textbook,the way of compiling and the way of presenting it.In the micro dimension,the comparison is carried out from three dimensions:text,examples and exercises,so as to conduct in-depth analysis into the inside of knowledge.Through the research findings:(1)The style structure of textbooks in mainland China is relatively rich,and there are more columns for reading and extracurricular expansion;(2)The two editions of the textbooks have different tendencies in presentation:the Chinese textbook focuses on content teaching,while the Taiwanese textbook focuses on student training;(3)The number of exercises in the textbooks in mainland China is larger and the types are richer.The exercises in the two editions of the textbooks are designed in layers.(4)Taiwan textbooks focus on the introduction of the "trigonometry" in the figure and measurement,so that students can master the geometric meaning of "trigonometry";(5)The content of "trigonometry" is divided into"trigonometry" and "trigonometry" in the textbooks of Taiwan edition.The content of"trigonometry" is optional compulsory course;(6)Textbooks in mainland China emphasize the relationship between "trigonometry" and "vector",while textbooks in Taiwan emphasize the relationship between "trigonometry","polar coordinates and parametric equations" and "the plural";(7)On the whole,the amount of knowledge contained in the Taiwan textbooks is more than that in the mainland textbooks,the coverage of knowledge is wider,the depth of knowledge is stronger,and the degree of knowledge connection in the Taiwan textbooks is also higher than that in the mainland textbooks.(8)The distribution of different types of sample questions in mainland textbooks is more uniform,which makes learning in a "step-type" way to go deep;(9)The exercises in the mainland textbooks are more open and inquisitive.On this basis,the author puts forward some suggestions on the compilation of textbooks in the two places:In the textbooks of mainland China,some knowledge which has been deleted after reform should be added into the textbooks as expanded content in exercises or reading materials to guide students to study selectively.The Chinese textbooks should make some adjustments in the order of the arrangement of the textbooks and reduce the difficulty of the textbooks appropriately.The types of exercises in Taiwan textbooks should be enriched to improve students' learning enthusiasm.
