Classical Novels contain a wealth of literary knowledge,have profound cultural heritage,these are instructive to the students and can nourish their spirits.The teaching of classical novels in the textbook has been influenced by various factors,such as,high school students have heavy academic pressure in the current,students’ ways of reading is browsing the fragmentation,the college entrance examination accounts for a small score and high school students like to read short and brish articles,because of these influences,the teaching of classical novels is unsatisfactory.Chinese classical novel teaching,which has been excerpted in the text book in high school,breaks up the relationship with the whole novel.Teaching only excerpts will make the learning process in class,knowledge teaching formulations and be boring in class.Teachers teaching utilitarian make class boring,students read superficially thus they unable to acquire a profound literary knowledge from classical novels or can not appreciate the charm of classical novels.In 2017,the curriculum standards of ordinary high school lists “Whole book reading and discussion” as a group of learning tasks,it become an opportunity to change the teaching status of classical novels.This article is guided by the concept of “Whole book reading”,based on the teaching objectives and contents of classical novels,there reading period are designed: the first time to read the whole book、the second time to read the whole book and read the whole book many times.Then combine reading and specific teaching link: preview before class,study the contents of the article in class,according the book to do some activities after class,combing with various teaching methods and students’ learning methods to expound the teaching of classical novel which has been excerpted in the text book in high school.Taking《 Lin daiyu entered jia fu 》 as an example to change the current situation of Chinese classical novels teaching in high school.“Whole book reading” is of great significance to the teaching of classical novels and even the teaching of Chinese.
