In recent years,with the continuous deepening of educational reform and innovation,music education has attracted much attention.The elementary school music education as a basis for nine years of compulsory education,through a variety of artistic practice,emotional experience,basic music knowledge and basic skills,students interest in music culture has become particularly important,and then promoting roundly of student's well-rounded-education level,aesthetic capability,edification of sentiment,healthy personality,and helping form correctly views of world,life and value.This paper attempts to take the "New System of Quality Music Education in Schools" established by Institute of Music Education,Central Conservatory of Music as the theoretical basis,starting from the "New System" national training plan for music teachers,and practicing in actual teaching,so as to provide suggestions and forecasts to the applying of the "New System" in teaching in schools in Tianshan District,Urumqi.The full paper is divided into five chapters.In Introduction,including the background and significance of the topic and the literature review on the "new system" of music education,analysis of teaching theory and practice research of the "New System",and analysis of papers related to current teaching situation and apply of the "New System" in schools in Tianshan District,Urumqi.The first chapter introduces the teaching philosophy,purpose and teaching methods of the "New System",similarities and differences between "New System" and the three major international music education systems: the Orff Schulwer,the Kodály method and the Dalcroze eurhythmics,explains the research and teaching results of the "New System".The second chapter is the analysis and summary of the current situation of the primary school music curriculum in Tianshan District,Urumqi under the "New System" education concept,which sorts out and analyzes the current situation of the music curriculum,the use of teaching materials,and the teaching staff.The third chapter is the practical study of the "New System" of music education in primary schools in Tianshan District,Urumqi.This chapter takes the "New System" national training plan for teachers as the starting point to understand the changes in the teaching concepts and methods of the music teachers in Tianshan District,Urumqi after learning the "New System" and their practice in actual teaching.The fourth chapter attempts to put forward suggestions and prospects for the future education and teaching of the problems in the application of the "New System" of music education.
