Fieldwork is an important teaching method in geography practice education,and also a hot spot in the research of international geography education in recent ten years.The geography curriculum standard for senior middle schools(2017 edition)in China emphasizes the cultivation of practical ability of geography and strengthens the ability of students to acquire geographical information in a real environment.Textbooks are important resources and tools for students' learning and school teaching,and the fieldwork in textbooks are important references for implementing fieldwork.Constructing the framework of analyzing the field investigation activities of textbooks and through the different textbook edition evaluation and analysis,summarizing and comparing the characteristics of different editions to provide a reference for the compilation of textbooks,it is beneficial to enrich the theory of geography textbook compilation and educational research methods.At the same time,the analytical dimension of the geographical fieldwork's design can also provide a reference for teachers and students to carry out field work.Firstly,the study defines the geography textbook,field trips,and uses Cite Space to visualize the knowledge map of field trips and Textbook Analysis at home and abroad.Based on the comparison of the field study at home and abroad,the following experiences should be used for reference in China: attaching importance to learning methods,such as Project-based learning.We should attach importance to the combination of on-the-spot investigation and advanced technology and perfect the evaluation system of on-the-spot investigation.Combing the analysis of textbooks at home and abroad,we find that the analysis system of textbooks abroad is more perfect,and the research of textbook evaluation in China is mainly practical and applied,but the research of basic theory and middle theory is less in practice,research methods are divided into inductive and deductive methods mainly.On the basis of literature review,the characteristics of field work are summarized by combining the cases of field work at home and abroad with Kolb's experiential learning theory,embodied cognition theory and Schwab's curriculum theory,based on the theory of textbook analysis and the related requirements of curriculum standards,a preliminary framework for analyzing textbook field work is established.After consulting experts,four basic dimensions,including content,activity design,activity evaluation and implementation recommendations,and the analysis framework of nine major directions are finally determined.Senior high School geography compulsory one is the classic part of high school geography teaching materials,the pressure of the college entrance examination of the first grade of senior high school is relatively less than that of the senior grade,which is a favorable opportunity to carry out on-the-spot investigation activities.Therefore,the study chooses geography textbook one as the object of analysis,this paper analyzes the four editions of the textbooks published by the People's Education Press,the Hunan Education Press,the Sinomap Press and the Shandong Education Press in 2019 following a combined quantitative and qualitative approach,and based on the analysis framework constructed,and draws the following conclusions:(1)Content.The four editions of the textbook cases strictly based on the new curriculum for senior high schools in China,but there are differences in the expansion of the contents.At the same time,it emphasizes the connection with students' life and chooses the geographical things that students are familiar with as the carrier.Although the content of field investigation is relatively independent,it serves the material system.The variety of the types and positions of the field work column,the function of the field work of different columns and positions,the variety of the forms of expression are mainly reflected in the use of images,and the combination of pictures and text is an important form.(2)Design and evaluation activities.The goal of a field trip is to set knowledge and competence at the same time.The design of the theme is difficult enough,but not vivid enough in the expression.The process design has a good explorative quality,which is mainly reflected in the design of the inspection scheme and the link of route planning,there was a lack of interaction and reflection.Evaluation design,the teaching materials on the evaluation of the link is not obvious,mostly to write the end of the inspection report and observation records-based,lack that more explicit criteria to guide the evaluation of activities.(3)Recommendations for implementation.The proposed implementation of the environment for the location of the campus around,taking into account the student's life and the environment is easy to find.The activity directed design provide time recommendations for field trips that require special time,but other trips do not require the duration of the trip and need to be tailored to the actual situation.There are few suggestions on the relationship between the process of implementing the activity and the course process,only the "Progress check" item is set in the chart.(4)Comprehensive Evaluation.According to statistics,the total scores were2.39,2.32,2.30 and 2.08 respectively.There is no significant difference in the total score.Each dimension score can reflect the characteristics of the design of each edition for the textbook:the teaching material of people's education press has the highest total score in the analysis scale,and the development of each dimension is more balanced.There are many innovations in the column setting of Hunan Education Press,and the design of "Progress Check" in the middle plate effectively matches the arrangement of on-the-spot investigation.Finally,in view of the writing features of textbooks in the design of fieldwork activities,the following issues should be paid attention to when using textbooks to carry out fieldwork activities: excavating the campus and surrounding environment,fully understand the campus and surrounding environmental resources and environmental characteristics,can combine with local resources to carry out on-the-spot visits;improve teaching evaluation and interactive reflection;the use of fresh language expression and other ways to arouse students' curiosity and doubt.
