Nowadays,the Chinese extracurricular reading of junior high school students has been paid more attention,but the extracurricular reading of junior high school students in rural areas is still not optimistic.The author has carried on the investigation and research to the Chinese extracurricular reading situation of junior high school students in Songshan township area of Chifeng city,deeply realized that the overall extracurricular reading ability of junior high school students in township area still needs to be improved,and it is in this background that this topic was chosen.This research is divided into four chapters.In Chapter One,the author learns about the research status of extra-curricular reading at home and abroad by consulting materials and literatures,and determines his own research topic on this basis.The second chapter discusses the significance of extracurricular reading survey in the townships and towns of Songshan District,Chifeng City and the specific process of implementing the survey,expounds the research ideas and methods of this paper,selects the Pawnshop No.11 Middle School for pre-survey,and analyzes the reliability and validity of the student questionnaire and the teacher questionnaire.In the third chapter,27 teachers,566 students and 12 parents from Grade 7,8 and 9 of 8 junior high schools in Songshan Township Area of Chifeng City were randomly selected as the objects of the survey by means of questionnaire survey and interview.This paper summarizes and analyzes the actual situation of Chinese extracurricular reading of junior high school students in Songshan Township of Chifeng City.At the same time,the social environment of extra-curricular reading in the township areas of Songshan District,Chifeng City was investigated on the spot.Through the research of the collected materials,the following problems were found in the extra-curricular reading of junior high school students in Songshan District,Chifeng City.First,influenced by the concept of exam-oriented education,their initiative in extra-curricular reading was poor.Second,the lack of book resources in rural areas leads to a poor reading atmosphere.Third,township junior high school students extracurricular reading time and reading quantity is insufficient.Fourthly,there are problems in the evaluation methods of extra-curricular reading in township areas.Fifth,urban and rural education resources are not balanced,township education development has lag.The fourth chapter is aiming at the situation of Chinese extracurricular reading of junior high school students in Songshan Township of Chifeng City.The author puts forward the following suggestions: change the reading concept and establish the important position of extracurricular reading;Developing book resources and creating extracurricular reading atmosphere;Actively guide students to cultivate their interest in extracurricular reading;Select multiple evaluation,perfect extracurricular reading evaluation method;We will develop both urban and rural areas at the same time and intensify the development of towns and townships.It is hoped that this study can be used as a reference for junior high school students in the township areas of Songshan District,Chifeng City..
