With the emphasis on students' subjectivity in middle school classroom,it has been the focus of classroom teaching to strengthen teacher-student interaction,and guide students to actively participate in problem exploration.As a research field of problem teaching,problem chain teaching can guide students to personally participate in the process of problem inquiry,which is of great significance to effectively enlighten students.Therefore,it has been widely promoted and applied in recent years.Students in the 21 st century are supposed to have the ability to solve problems,and the Chemistry Curriculum Standards for General Senior High Schools(2017Edition)stipulates that students' ability to solve problems should be developed under the concept of core literacy of chemistry.Therefore,cultivating students' ability to solve chemical problems is of great significance to the implementation of chemistry curriculum standards.Based on the theoretical relationship between problem chain teaching and problem solving ability,this study explores the effective application of problem chain teaching in chemistry teaching.Based on the actual situation and taking "elemental compounds" as an example,this paper discusses the teaching strategy of problem chain to effectively improve the ability of chemical problem solving,and carries out the effective design and implementation of problem chain teaching.Based on this,the research ideas are as follows: through literature analysis,understand the research background and research status,clarify the research topic,and master relevant theories;Through questionnaire survey and teacher interview,the students' ability to solve chemical problems and the actual situation of teachers' implementation of problem chain teaching were understood.Under the guidance of pedagogy theory,according to the problem chain teaching theory,based on the improvement of chemical problem solving ability as the starting point,combined with the practice of the problem chain teaching to improve the chemical problem solving ability of the theoretical research;Based on the theory,the teaching case design of improving the ability of chemical problem solving was carried out with the knowledge of "compulsory 1 elemental compounds" in PEP edition as the carrier.Taking the high school students of Xining H Middle School as the research object,the teaching implementation was carried out to verify whether the problem chain can improve the students' ability to solve chemical problems.The research shows that:(1)According to the survey,the overall chemical problem solving ability of senior high school students is not high.The specific problems are as follows:(1)chemical problem solving attitude: the enthusiasm to participate in the problem solving is poor,the lack of problem awareness and the motivation to solve chemical problems.(2)methods and strategies to solve chemical problems: the ideas to solve chemical problems are not systematic,few students solve problems in an independent,cooperative and inquiring way,and there are difficulties in seeking solutions to problems in many aspects.(3)the quality of chemical problems:lack of method innovation and effective transfer and promotion ability;(2)Through interviews with teachers,it is found that:(1)Teachers agree on the effectiveness of problem chain teaching,but think that problem chain design will take too much time.(2)Experienced teachers do not think much about the preset questions.They ask questions directly in class,while new teachers will preset questions in advance.However,there are problems in the depth and breadth of question design.(3)The reasonableness and operability of chemistry teachers' puzzlement to the problem design and the degree of control in the classroom of problem chain teaching;(3)On the basis of effective design of problem chain,four implementation strategies of problem chain teaching are put forward: "elaborately creating problem situation","problem chain guides students to explore independently and cooperatively","problem chain guides students to design problem solving tasks",and "encouraging and guiding students to evaluate and reflect".The teaching implementation process of problem chain was constructed,which took "creating problem situation-throwing out core problems-sub-problem chain guidance--teaching reflection and evaluation" as the main teacher activity,and "perceiving problem--clarifying problem solving task--solving problem--reflection and communication" as the main student activity to improve chemical problem solving ability.(4)After the implementation of teaching,the result analysis shows that the achievement gap between the two classes is gradually widening,and the achievement of the experimental class is significantly higher than that of the control class.It shows that the application of problem chain teaching in elemental compound teaching promotes the improvement of chemistry learning performance.The analysis of the scale results shows that there is a significant difference in the chemical problem solving ability between the experimental class and the control class after the implementation of teaching.The interview results show that the implementation of question chain teaching has a positive impact on students' emotional attitude,knowledge learning,thinking,chemical problem exploration and other aspects.In summary,the results show that the implementation of problem chain teaching effectively improves students' ability to solve chemical problems.
