Study On The Cultivation Of Mathematics Problem Solving Ability In Primary School Based On STEM Concept

The Mathematics Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education(2011Edition):'The content setting of comprehensive and practical aims at cultivating students' comprehensive use of relevant knowledge and methods to solve practical problems,cultivating students' problem consciousness,application consciousness and innovation consciousness,accumulating students' activity experience and improving students' ability to solve practical problems.At present,there are still many problems in the cultivation of mathematics problem solving ability in primary schools.For example,students have great ability to find problems but rely on the guidance of teachers,attach importance to inspirational teaching but lack of students asking questions,the overall analysis of the problem is weak,especially the lack of reverse thinking,the solution to the problem is scientific and reasonable but there is a lack of summary and reflection.Based on the characteristics of STEM concepts,this study emphasizes situated learning and attaches importance to ability cultivation.This study on the cultivation of mathematics problem solving ability in primary schools based on STEM concepts.This study mainly includes the following aspects:At first,defining core concepts and divide the ability of mathematics problem solving in primary school into different levels based on the analysis of domestic and foreign literatureSecondly,investigate the current situation of students' problem solving ability and teachers' teaching status in S primary school,including observe the class,conduct questionnaire survey,interview the teacher and so on,to grasp the current situation.Then analyze and process the survey results,summarize the existing problems and find out the reasons behind themFinally,propose teaching strategies of the cultivation of mathematics problem solving ability in primary schools based on STEM concepts according to the hierarchy of ability and the analyze.It is hoped to improve students' ability of finding,raising,analyzing and solving problems.The strategies including make good use of scientific ideas to create problem situations,guide students to explore independently and pay attention to the hierarchy of the problem solving ability,understand quantitative relationships and strengthen problem analysis and logical reasoning training,advocate multidimensional teaching and improve the ability of evaluation and reflection and so on.Hope to provide reference and reference for the cultivation of mathematics problem solving ability in primary schools based on STEM concepts.
