The vigorous development of the Internet makes "self-media" no longer confined to information dissemination, social and other content, and is gradually regarded by the mainstream media as an important new force in the current official discourse propaganda and mainstream cultural output. At the same time,it should be noted that the college students who have always been at the forefront of the media era show their recognition of official discourse propaganda and,to a certain extent, their attitude towards further strengthening network education in mainstream ideology. This provides a definite factual argument for our analysis and study of mainstream ideological identity in the media context. Our country has always attached importance to the education and identification of socialist ideology, especially for the college students. This paper takes the existing theoretical achievements as the theoretical support, takes the spirit of the Nineteenth National Congress of the Party as the guidance, and studies according to the new requirements of ideology in the new era.The main contents of the study are as follows:The first chapter summarizes the concepts of self-media,mainstream ideology, mainstream ideological identity and the characteristics and values of mainstream ideological identity of college students from the perspective of self-media,and becomes the theoretical basis of this paper. The second chapter introduces the basic situation of the current mainstream ideological identity of college students through questionnaire survey, and makes a thorough analysis of the problems found and their causes. The third chapter focuses on the four principles and macro and micro measures to improve the mainstream ideological identity of college students.
