The “Curriculum Guidelines for Comprehensive Practice Activity in Primary and Secondary Schools” points out that problem solving and creative materialization are part of the curriculum objectives in primary school.This shows the importance and the necessity of cultivating the students' problem-solving ability and innovation ability.First of all,based on the current practical research status of problem-solving ability and graphical programming teaching at home and abroad,this research constructs an"interest-enlightening-constructing-creating" teaching strategy for graphical programming that promotes the primary school students' problem-solving ability.The teaching strategy in the four aspects is,“guiding by interest”,“leading by enlightening”,“focusing on constructing",and "sublimating by creating".Secondly,the key and difficult points of graphic programming teaching in elementary schools is analyzed,and the representative teaching content is selected to develop teaching design and demonstration courses.Finally,two classes in the fifth grade of Longjiang Shibu Primary School in Shunde District,Foshan City are selected for experimental research.The data analysis and comparison of “Students' Problem-Solving Ability Self-evaluation Form”,“Codemao Learning Effect Questionnaire”and “Results of Codemao Works and Interview” showed that,compared to the traditional teaching strategy,the “interest-enlightening-constructing-creating” teaching strategy can better improve students' problem-solving ability in five dimensions: problem analyzing,solution proposing,solution determining,solution implementing,and reflection as well as appraisal.Therefore,it is concluded that the “interest-enlightening-constructing-creating”teaching strategy for graphical programming is more conducive to improving primary school students' problem-solving ability.There are two innovations in this research.One is the innovation of graphical programming teaching strategies to cultivate the students' problem-solving ability,and the other is the innovation of graphical programming teaching demonstration courses that promote their problem-solving ability.This research provides a set of unique graphical programming teaching strategies and teaching demonstration courses for cultivating the students' problem-solving ability.It is expected to provide some practical cases for reference in graphic programming teaching in primary schools through innovative teaching strategies and demonstration courses,and give full play to the important role of graphic programming teaching in cultivating students' problem-solving ability.
