This paper focuses on the teaching effect and the application scope of "construction-chunk" teaching method in practical applications.For the teaching of Easy Steps to Chinese,the "construction-chunk" teaching method and traditional teaching method are used for teaching plan design and classroom teaching.The difference in the performance of students in different classes is analyzed,and the "construction-chunk" teaching method is evaluated.Reflecting on its scope of application,and making suggestions on the use of the textbook Easy Steps to Chinese.This paper first introduces the theoretical sources,research results and operation methods of the construction chunk teaching method.Then,three sentence patterns in Easy Steps to Chinese’s textbook are selected to design the teaching plan by using the "construction-chunk" teaching method,and compared the difference between this teaching plan and the traditional teaching plan.Through teaching examples,classroom feedback and students’ achievements,the teaching effect after applying the "construction-chunk" teaching method is analyzed,and the feasibility and applicability of the "construction-chunk" teaching method are discussed.The comparison results of the two teaching plans and the feedback of teaching practice show that when using the "construction-chunk" teaching method to explain sentence patterns,it is more concise and intuitive,and it is easier to attract students’ interest.Using this teaching method to teach,students can more easily understand the structure,meaning and usage of sentence patterns.The result of students’ performance analysis shows that classes using the "construction-chunk" teaching method got higher grade than other classes.This teaching method is effective and can help students memorize Chinese more firmly.Based on the above analysis,some specific suggestions are made for the use of the Easy Steps to Chinese,teachers’ teaching and Chinese learners,hoping those can help improve the teaching effect of Chinese.Combined with the results of teaching practice and teaching reflection,this paper holds that the "construction-chunk" teaching method is more intuitive in sentence teaching and easier for students to understand,but it has a scope of application and is difficult in practical operation.It will get better effect if it is combined with other teaching methods and multimedia teaching method.
