Effects Of Maternal Mindful Parenting On Social Withdrawal Behavior In Young Children: The Chain Mediating Role Of Parenting Stress And Parent-child Relationship | Posted on:2024-03-23 | Degree:Master | Type:Thesis | Country:China | Candidate:X Wang | Full Text:PDF | GTID:2557307055990369 | Subject:Pre-primary Education | Abstract/Summary: | PDF Full Text Request | Children’s social withdrawal behavior refers to a variety of individual solitary behaviors across time and across situations in social situations or peer environments.Social withdrawal is an important risk factor for socio-emotional difficulties.Individuals with severe social withdrawal behavior in early childhood are more likely to encounter emotional obstacles in adulthood,and often have psychological problems such as low self-esteem and inferiority in interpersonal communication.It is very important to intervene the social withdrawal behavior in early childhood.Maternal mindful parenting refers to mothers’ purposeful,present,and nonjudgmental attention and awareness of their children and parenting behaviors.To improve the mechanism of mindfulness parenting on children’s social withdrawal behavior and further alleviate children’s social withdrawal behavior.On the basis of previous studies,this study introduced the two variables of parenting stress and parent-child relationship to discuss the relationship between maternal mindful parenting and toddlers’ social withdrawal behavior and the chain mediating effect of parenting stress and parent-child relationship between maternal mindful parenting and toddlers’ social withdrawal behavior.Questionnaire survey was adopted in this study.723 mothers and teachers corresponding to young children were investigated by means of "Mindful Parenting Questionnaire","Teacher Questionnaire on Social Withdrawal Behavior of Young Children","Parenting Stress Questionnaire" and "Parent-child Relationship Questionnaire".After collecting and processing the data,SPSS 22.0 was used for descriptive analysis,difference test,correlation analysis and regression analysis,and Model 6 in the PROCESS macro plug-in was selected for mediating effect analysis.To understand the status quo of maternal mindfulness parenting,parenting pressure,parent-child relationship and social withdrawal behavior of infants,and to explore the influence of maternal mindfulness parenting on infants’ social withdrawal and whether parenting pressure and parent-child relationship have chain mediating effects in this relationship.The results are as follows:(1)The overall level of mothers’ mindfulness education is above the average level,and the detection rate of children’s social withdrawal behavior is high.(2)There was a significant correlation between mother’s mindful upbringing,parenting pressure,parent-child relationship and social withdrawal behavior of infants.(3)Parenting stress plays a mediating role in the relationship between mothers’ mindful parenting and children’s social withdrawal behavior.(4)Parent-child relationship plays an intermediary role in the relationship between maternal mindfulness parenting and children’s social withdrawal behavior.(5)Parenting stress and parent-child relationship play a chain mediating role in the relationship between maternal mindfulness and children’s social withdrawal behavior. | Keywords/Search Tags: | mother mindfulness education, children’s social withdrawal behavior, parenting pressure, parent-child relationship | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
