General Secretary Xi Jinping pointed out at the symposium for teachers of ideological and political theory courses in school that the youth stage is the most critical period that needs careful guidance and cultivation,and the ideological and political education for youth should be comprehensive,which is the common integration of all courses.In addition,in today’s diversified cultural development,the inheritance,protection and development of Xinjiang traditional culture with regional characteristics are imperative.Exploring the ideological and political elements in Xinjiang traditional culture and integrating them into course teaching have many meanings: the integration of the curriculum ideology and politics becomes more vivid and interesting;effectively promotes the same direction of intellectual and moral education work;stimulates students’ awareness of inheriting and developing Xinjiang’s traditional culture.Therefore,this thesis explores the teaching resources of chemistry in Xinjiang traditional culture containing the concept of curriculum ideology and politics,proposes teaching strategies and designs teaching cases to provide reference for the entrance of Xinjiang traditional culture into chemistry class of secondary school under the concept of curriculum ideology and politics.The research is mainly conducted from the following aspects:1.The investigation on the integration of Xinjiang traditional culture in senior high school chemistry teaching under the concept of curriculum ideology and politics.Take the example of 15 chemistry teachers and 150 students at No.1 Middle School in S City,this thesis conducts a questionnaire survey on the current situation of the integration of the curriculum ideology and politics and Xinjiang traditional culture in senior high school chemistry teaching,providing practical basis for subsequent research.The results show that both teachers and students have some understanding of the curriculum ideology and politics and Xinjiang traditional culture but not in depth.They are willing to let them enter the chemistry teaching.However,the current situation has some problems,such as low application frequency,teachers don’t give the initiative to students.Moreover,teachers and students prefer to choose Xinjiang traditional culture such as the Corps red culture,Xinjiang historical relics,Xinjiang historical stories and Xinjiang food culture to integrate into chemistry teaching.2.Develop teaching resources and propose teaching strategies.On the basis of consulting literature and combing textbooks,this thesis sorts out Xinjiang traditional culture,explores the concept of curriculum ideology and politics,corresponds and connects with the knowledge points in senior high school chemistry textbooks,develop the following four aspects of chemistry teaching resources:(1)the Corps red culture:kantuman,the treatment of saline and alkali soil.(2)Xinjiang historical relics: the preservation of historical sites,the exploration of mineral elements.(3)Xinjiang historical stories: the Uygur custom story of "loving and protecting water",the legendary feat during the construction of the first nuclear submarine,the heroic story of building Xinjiang and ethnic unity.(4)Xinjiang food culture: the Xinjiang specialties such as naan,yogurt lumps,Musalles and Xinjiang shashlik.In addition,three strategies are proposed to solve the problems in the investigation: "make good use of fragmented time to fully improve teacher’s cultural literacy ","make good use of teaching methods to give the initiative to students","grasp the opportunity of education and imperceptibly integrate moral education".3.Design and implement teaching cases,analyze teaching effects.In this thesis,four teaching cases are designed from the Corps red culture,Xinjiang historical relics,Xinjiang historical stories and Xinjiang food culture: "Properties of Iron","Application of Periodic Table and Periodic Law of Elements","Formation of Chemical Bonds","Redox reaction".The teaching practices of the first two teaching cases are carried out in the Grade 1 class(1)and class(2)of No.1 Middle School in S City.Combined with students’ performance in the course teaching and the interviews of three random students after class,the research results show that: students’ interests in learning chemistry have greatly increased.While further deepening the understanding of what they have learned,they can receive ideological and political education imperceptibly,and effectively stimulate the awareness of the inheritance and development of Xinjiang traditional culture. |
