Chinese teaching material is an important basis of Chinese teaching activities,and it is also an important tool for teachers to teach and students to learn.The reading aid system,also known as the guided learning system,not only includes hints on students’ learning requirements,learning priorities and learning methods,but also includes explanations of some difficult problems and references to relevant materials.The reading aid system includes a series of reading AIDS,such as unit prompts,preview prompts,comments,reading prompts,illustrations,notes,knowledge supplement and exercises after class.The reading aid system in Chinese teaching materials plays an important role in students’ Chinese learning.The contents of notes and comments can not only help students to read,but also promote the development of students’ cognitive structure and the improvement of students’ self-learning ability.The second volume of the Chinese textbook for Grade 9was put into use in 2019,and its reading aid system is one of the major changes in the textbook.The second volume of the Chinese textbook for Grade 9 is the most difficult one in the junior high school,and it is a Chinese textbook connecting the junior high school and the senior high school.The reading aid system of the middle school Chinese textbook compiled by the Ministry of Education is difficult and progressive,and its guidance for reading is step by step.For example,the number of text notes decreases with the growth of the grade.The notes in the second volume of the Chinese textbook of the ninth grade are fine and few.The amount of knowledge supplement in the reading aid system is not only reduced,but also its content is more closely related to the understanding and appreciation of the content of the selected text.Compared with the previous five textbooks,the side comments in the reading aid system not only reduce the form of question marks,but also present more appreciation of the text content or summary content.It is more difficult to compile the Chinese textbook aid system of the second volume of the ninth grade,and its content lays more emphasis on giving play to students’ subjectivity.Teachers and students can use the content of the aid system to develop and improve students’ comprehensive Chinese literacy.This paper mainly studies the content of the reading aid system in the second volume of Chinese textbooks compiled by the Department of Grade 9.Firstly,it summarizes and sorts out the research background,research significance,theoretical basis and other relevant contents,and elaborates the reasons for compiling the reading aid system in the second volume of Chinese textbooks compiled by the Department of the Department of Grade 9.The second is the comparison of the content of the three textbooks(the second volume of the Chinese textbook for grade nine of the PEP edition and the second volume of the Chinese textbook for grade nine of the ministry edition),and from the analysis of the comparative content,the characteristics of the system are summarized.The content of this system is richer and more accurate.It not only emphasizes the guidance of reading methods and the cultivation of reading ability,but also pays attention to the connection with extracurricular reading and life.Then,it summarizes the deficiency of the reading aid system in the second volume of the Chinese textbook for Grade 9,and puts forward some suggestions for improvement on the deficiency of the reading aid content,such as illustrations,exercises after class and knowledge supplement.Finally,with the aim of developing students’ comprehensive Chinese literacy,some strategies are put forward for teachers and students to use the Chinese reading aid system compiled by the Ministry of Education for Grade 9.The reading aid system in Chinese textbooks is not only the auxiliary material for text reading,but also an important tool for teachers and students to learn.
