The number of released prisoners in my country is huge, with the total number approaching one million, and it is growing at a rate of nearly 400,000 per year. The social integration of released prisoners faces many problems, including integration problems at the political, economic, cultural, and institutional levels,as well as difficulties in family acceptance and personal adaptation. The failure of released prisoners' social integration may lead to secondary crimes that endanger the society, increase the risk of community order, and endanger social stability. The problem of their social integration has become one of the social issues that cannot be ignored. The study of how social work intervenes in released prisoners' social integration is of great significance to their personal growth, family stability, and social harmony. This thesis takes the social support theory and social integration theory as the theoretical foundation, and aims to explore the possible support system to the released prisoners and explore the level of the released prisoners' integration into the society. This thesis adopts the interview method to investigate the degree of social acceptance to released prisoners, and the research subject's needs estimation, and the actual effectiveness evaluation.Taking into account the special vulnerabilities of released prisoners, this thesis uses case work methods to serve prisoners to integrate into society. This thesis combs the relevant literature on the social integration of released prisoners and formulates a research design, carries out practical activities and reflects on the results of the activities, and finally puts forward corresponding suggestions.First of all,the thesis analyzes the actual dilemma and reasons for the social integration of released prisoners.Secondly,C,a prisoner released from community F in County B,is chosen as the case service subject. The thesis assess the basic needs of C,determines service goals and service technologies, designs and implements service plans, and evaluates the service process and results. Finally,in contrast to the actual dilemma of released prisoners' social integration, the thesis examines the effectiveness of case work in helping released prisoners achieve the goal of social integration, and summarizes the practical experience and deficiencies in the use of value ethics and technology. And then there are some suggestions on the effective integration of released prisoners into society within the framework of social policy practice.According to the research, the difficulties in social integration of released prisoners are manifested in the following aspects.1.Psychological self-isolation and low sense of value.2.Family split and emotional alienation.3.Lack of enthusiasm for community participation.4.The social support network is broken.5.Many restrictions on the employment system. The reason is that released prisoners have a low cultural level and a bias in self-cognition,guilt that involves their family members, stigmatized social stereotypes, and the inadequate implementation of community resettlement and assistance policies, and so on.All of these factors jointly promote this real dilemma. The intervention of case social work has not only eased the research subject's negative emotions, strengthened his self-identification and acceptance, and restored his self-confidence in life, but also promoted the acceptance of his family and rebuild the social support network, linked community resources to promote the smooth integration of the research subject into the community. This thesis suggests that individuals who are released from prison should learn to adjust negative emotions and enhance their survival skills.Their family must continue to support them and strengthen the family's sense of responsibility for mutual assistance and shared responsibility. The community should create employment opportunities for those released prisoners, such as providing them with vocational skills training and public welfare jobs.
