Research On Social Work Intervention In Community Prisoners' Employment Service

The community correction work in our country develops unceasingly in the innovation,has obtained the gratifying result.However,it is found in the investigation that the community prisoners are faced with the loss or breakdown of the original social support when they return to the society.Declining social status,lack of trust capital;Lack of sources of income,financial hardship,etc.These changes not only make it easy to get into trouble in life and lose confidence in life,but also have the risk of inducing a new crime.Unemployment has a great impetus to crime and employment is an important part of the re-socialization of community prisoners.Helping community prisoners find jobs is an important measure to prevent and reduce re-offending and promote their reintegration into society,and the realization of this goal cannot be achieved without the participation of social workers.In this paper,based on practical experience,inmates in Z city L area community employment situation and intervention model as an example,the classifying of case study,through field observation,semi-structured interviews,text analysis and other methods to collect research data,to the community inmates employment service status,demand,to explore the path and mode are summarized and comb,and connecting with the present situation of their employment service of the domestic application situation and difficulties for further discussion.Finally,the corresponding countermeasures and Suggestions are put forward according to the dilemma.Based on field research,this study mainly draws the following conclusions:First,at present,the social work in this area has formed a professional working method and a unique judicial work mode,which has achieved remarkable results at the micro,medium and macro levels.However,there is still a lot of room for improvement in the employment of community prisoners.Second,an important factor causing the dilemma is that their employment problem has not been well solved.This paper summarizes the reasons from individual,social,policy and implementation levels,such as social prejudice and lack of institutionalized employment assistance.Thirdly,by elaborating the practical process of case management,this paper summarizes the social work path of community correction into the following links:contact problems,analysis and diagnosis of problems,provision of service intervention,service termination and effectiveness evaluation.Fourth,social workers ensure program implementation through multiple roles such as evaluator,resource linker,policy advocate,and researcher.This paper suggests that the focus should be shifted from the problem to the person,and on the basis of helping the client get employed,the author should intervene in the psychological,cognitive,behavioral,family and other aspects to help rebuild the social support network,improve the social survival ability,restore the life confidence and social function,and realize self-rehabilitation and re-socialization.
