Since the 21 st century,our country's higher education has entered a period of rapid development,and the scale and comprehensive strength have stepped onto a new stage.In this opportunity,the development of private colleges are also striding forward,playing an increasingly important role in the field of higher education.As the main body of the teaching work in private colleges,teachers connect the students with schools and the society,shoulder the responsibility of moralizing,teaching,resolving doubts and delivering talents to the society.They play a vital role in higher education.With an increase in the number of private colleges,more and more young teachers have joined in and become the main force.The professional identity of young teachers has a direct impact on their work and life,and also indirectly affects the development of private colleges as well as the quality of talent training.Through consulting the literature at home and abroad,it is found that although there are many researches on the professional identity of teachers,there are few achievements on the professional identity of young teachers in private colleges.Scholars at home and abroad do not pay enough attention to the professional identity of young teachers in private colleges.Therefore,the topic of professional identity of young teachers in private colleges is worth further exploring.Based on hierarchy of needs theory and social identity theory,this thesis studies and analyzes the professional identity of young teachers in S College.On the basis of the existing research,the questionnaire of professional identity of young teachers in S College is revised and compiled.According to the principle of random sampling,some young teachers of S College are selected as the subject of research,and SPSS 21.0 software is used for data analysis,and the following conclusions are drawn:(1)The professional identity of young teachers in S College is at a moderate level and needs to be further improved.Through the detailed analysis of the statistics of each dimension,it is found that there are differences in the level of professional identity of young teachers in S College in different dimensions,among which the difference between professional cognition,professional identity and professional behavior is small,and it is close to the overall level of professional identity.There are great differences between the external influence dimension,the other three dimensions and the overall level of professional identity.According to the average of different dimensions of identity level from high to low,the ranking is as follows: professional cognition > professional emotion>professional behavior > external influence.(2)The gender,age,length of teaching,professional title and annual income of young teachers have significant differences in their professional identity,while the marital status and class hours of each week have no significant differences in their professional identity.(3)The top five factors affecting the professional identity of young teachers in S College are“resources provided by the college”,“work pressure and work intensity”,“management style of college leaders”,“salary and welfare”,and “training opportunities provided by the school”.Finally,according to the above survey results,the author puts forward suggestions to improve the professional identity of young teachers in S College from three levels of individual,college and society,hoping to contribute to the enhancement of the professional identity of young teachers,the improvement of college quality and the construction of teaching staff in S College.
