In the process of urbanization,the problem of rural teachers 'drain has become increasingly serious.In order to stabilize rural teachers,promote the development of rural education,the state has introduced the policy of favoring rural education and rural teachers'support programs.However,this issue has still not been completely resolved.How to attract and retain more talented people for the sustainable and healthy development of rural education,especially for youngers,is the key problem that needs to be addressed.Based on this,it is necessary for the research to investigate and analyze the status quo of occupational identification of young teachers in rural primary schools in western Hunan Province,explore solutions and upgrade paths,in order to improve the professional recognition of young teachers in rural primary schools in Xiangxi and provide a basis for deepening the study of rural primary school teachers in poverty-stricken areas.According to the characteristics of rural young teachers,this study draws on the existing professional identity scale of teachers and compiles a questionnaire on occupational identity of young teachers in rural primary schools.This study taking the rural primary school young teachers in 8 counties and cities of Xiangxi as the research object,the questionnaire survey and semi-structured interviews were conducted to investigate the professional identity of 350 teachers.Through the descriptive statistical analysis of the questionnaire data,we found that the occupational identification of young teachers in rural primary schools in Xiangxi is at medium level.According to further analysis of variance and regression analysis,it is found that variables such as interpersonal support,self-actualization,internal environment of the organization,and welfare benefits are important factors affecting the professional identity of young teachers in rural primary schools.From the perspectives of different teaching regions,young teachers who teach in township primary schools,compared with young teachers who teach in small villages,There is a difference in the influence of teachers' professional identity.In addition,in order to further understand the survival status of rural primary school teachers in Xiangxi and to further analyze the status and problems of vocational recognition,The purpose of the study selected two young teachers interview sampling survey,found that salary and benefits,organizational internal environment,interpersonal support,self-realization,etc.will affect the professional identity of teachers.According to the status quo and existing problems of the professional identity of young teachers in rural primary schools in Xiangxi,the study recommended raising the salary and benefits of rural teachers,optimizing the internal environment of rural schools,focusing on strengthening interpersonal support and care for rural teachers,creating conditions for teachers' self-worth,then promoting rural teachers' professional identity through improvement of internal and external conditions.
