With the deepening of the era of globalization, the national identity of citizens around the world is constantly being impacted.National identity plays a vital role in the unification and stability of a country. If national identity is weakened,a country will gradually lose cohesion, and even move towards disintegration. Therefore, national identity has become an important theme in the construction of modern nations.Under this background,Britain incorporated it into the history education system.Guided by curriculum standards,it guided the compilation of history textbooks and history teaching, which shaped the historical memory of the people and built the national identity of the people. The British National History Curriculum Standard emphasizes that national history should be the core and supplemented by local history in the course of implementing the curriculum so that students can understand the origin and development of the country in a coherent history, and identify who “we” are.Second,it builds "others" and highlights the "self" image through the effective selection of world history content. Finally,it establishes common cultural values with its own culture, builds students' social cognition, and forms their self-identity and national identity. The British National History Curriculum Standard has undergone five revisions from 1991 to 2013.According to the needs of social reality and the development of education,it continued to make breakthroughs and innovations in its inheritance.Throughout the revision process, the problems and obstacles Britain faces in history education are not all unique to Britain, but are worldwide problems and dilemmas. Therefore, the curriculum reform in Britain can give some reference and reference to China's curriculum reform, letting us find the corresponding points in the changes of the British history curriculum standards, and find the strategies and methods that meet the actual needs of our country,to enhance the sense of identity of our people.
